Superintendent's Welcome

Welcome to Wayne County Public Schools, one of the largest school districts in eastern North Carolina. We serve over 19,300 students in kindergarten through 12th grade. "More at Four" classes are also offered at many of our elementary schools to help ensure Pre-K children have the building blocks to prepare them for the rigors of school. We also have a mobile Pre-K classroom, called the "Wee Wings Bus" that travels to areas that are underserved by Pre-K programs.
It is our goal to provide each student a quality education, and prepare them for the global challenges of the 21st Century.
Wayne County Public Schools has a reputation for academic excellence, active parental and community involvement, and sound fiscal management. We are proud of our 32 schools and the opportunities they offer to students each day.
