My name is Brittney Lane. I have been a teacher for 5 full years now. I have just moved to Goldsboro. I went to Princeton School grades K-12 and then went on to Barton College in Wilson, NC. I have a degree in Elementary Education and Special Education as well as in Academically and Gifted Education. I am now in graduate school at East Carolina University for a masters degree in Reading Education. I love being a teacher! I played school when I was a little girl in my playhouse and in my bedroom. I always knew teaching was for me!

Some of my favorite activites include going to the gym, sleeping, and reading. Some of my favorite books include the Series of Unfortunate Events, books by Seymour Simon and Little House on the Prairie Books. My all time favorite book is "Millions of Cats" by Wanda Gag. I love to sleep!

I have 8 neices and 4 nephews. They are very special to me and I did a lot of my practice teaching with them. My role model is my mother, Rose. She works at O'Berry Center. I also must tell you about my sweet, precious kitty cats whom I love dearly. Their names are Baby Gray, Monka, Lickey and Tinker. They are so funny and I always tell stories about them in class.

Working at Eastern Wayne Elementary is AWESOME. I love my job and my students. Please know that my goal for my students is to create a passion for learning and provide them with as much support and guidance to lead a healthy and productive life!
