Welcome to the Wade Edwards Learning Lab at Goldsboro High School
The mission of the Wade Edwards Learning Lab at Goldsboro High School is to provide access and training to the Wayne County community. Many people utilize the WELL, including students, teachers, local nonprofit organizations, and community members. The WELL strives to provide training in needed areas for the community through the sponsorship of workshops covering such topics as basic computer skills, Internet tutorials, and office productivity software. When not providing workshops for the community, the WELL acts as a public computer access site for the community.
The Wade Edwards Learning Lab at Goldsboro High School was established in the Fall of 2001. The project was funded through a partnership between the Wade Edwards Foundation and the Wayne County Public School system. Additional funding and donations came from a variety of organizations in Wayne County, including Seymour Johnson AFB and Wayne Community College. Since then, the WELL has established after-school tutorial programs for Goldsboro High School students, become an integral training site for the Wayne County public school system, and has developed programs with local organizations to address the technology needs of the community.
The WELL is open Monday through Thursday on regular school days, usually from 2:30-7:00 P.M. and 9:00 A.M. - 5:00P.M. on Friday. The lab may be closed or close early due to meetings. Please check the calendar or contact the WELL to check availability.
The Wade Edwards Learning Lab (WELL) is located on the Campus of Goldsboro High School at the intersection of Dortch and Argo Streets. The lab is in the building which houses the Wayne County Schools Print Shop and Teacher Training Center. For directions to the WELL click here or on the directions link in the left side bar.
