Welcome to Dillard Middle School!

We are in the EOG Mindset! Student Report Cards were sent home on Friday, April 3rd and Student Progress Reports for this last grading period will go home on Friday, May 1st!  Contact the school immediately if you have not received your child's last report card and contact the school if you do not receive a Student Progress Report on May 1st!  Our focus is preparing for the end of the school year and the assessment of our academic progress.  It is imperative that students attend school daily and come to school on time.  Tardy students miss essential instruction which affects their ability to be successful!

The end of the 2014-2015 school year is near!  The students are engaged daily in EOG Review activities and preparations for assessments.  The Dillard Middle School end-of-year testing schedule is:
  • Wednesday, May 27th:   English/Language Arts/Reading EOG
  • Thursday, May 28th:  Math EOG
  • Monday, June 1st:  Science EOG for 5th and 8th
  • Tuesday, June 2nd:  Math 1 EOC for 8th graders who were enrolled in Math 1
  • Wednesday, June 3rd:  Social Studies Final Exam for 8th graders
  • Monday, June 8th:  Career/Technical Education Asessments for Elective Classes
Students must be on time in order to be allowed into their classrooms for testing.  When the testing begins, no student is allowed to enter the room where the assessment is being occurred.  Breakfast is served each day from 7:00 - 7:30 a.m.  The Tardy Bell rings at 7:40 a.m. and all students are expected to be in their homerooms.  Help us to help your child succeed...send them to school....and be on time!

Congratulations to our students who particpated in the WCPS All-County Choral Festival.  These students represented our school with excellence and skill.  We also congratulate our Girls' Soccer Team and our Boys' Baseball Team for a successful season.  Thank you for representing Tiger Pride!

Warmer weather is here and students are being reminded that our school follows the WCPS Standard Dress Code policy established by our Board of Education.  All students are expected to follow this policy.  Girls are being reminded that skirts, dresses and shorts cannot be more than 3 inches above the knee.  Sleeveless shirts and tops are not acceptable and shirts and tops must cover the midriff area at all times (sitting and standing).  Dillard Middle School adminstration and faculty are expected to support BOE policies at all times.  We need the support of students and their families to ensure that this policy as written and adopted is followed.  If you have any questions, please contact school adminstration or review Policy 4305 under School Policies which can be accessed on the WCPS home page. Additionally, no headwear (hats, caps, hoods, kerchiefs, curlers, seatbands, etc.) or sunglasses can be worn inside the school buildings.

Don't forget to order your 2014-15 Dillard Middle School yearbook!  It has been a great year with great memories!  Please contact the school office to place your order.  Student Spring Picture day is coming...May 13th...get your smiles ready!

Students are being rewarded for ROAR behavior!  The expectations of the school-wide ROAR Pledge are being noticed and rewarded with students who are receiving Tiger PAWs for demonstrating excellence!  Thank you to the Dillard Tigers who postively ROAR!

Graduation Day for our Dillard Middle School 8th graders is Friday, June 12th.  The students will be recognized with a Graduation Day Breakfast on that morning and the Graduation Ceremony will begin at 11:00 a.m.  Congratulations to our 8th graders, their families and our staff who have supported and encouraged these students during their time at Dillard Middle School.

As always, if you have any questions or concerns regarding your child's time at school, please make contact with us.  We are determined to create an educational environment that is safe, supportive and encouraging for all.
