Rosewood Community Care Holiday Assistance Program
The Rosewood Community Care Project is an outreach project that supports needy families at all three Rosewood Feeder schools (Rosewood Elementary, Rosewood Middle & Rosewood High School). This year the project was able to find angel tree sponsors for over 152 students (65 families) in the Rosewood Community. The schools partnered with Rosewood First Baptist & Pine Forest UnitedMethodist Church that has supported this program for over 14 years. The support staff at each school work together with administrators, teachers, students, parents and individual community members to assist families in need. Each school compliments this program by conducting individual drives to support this project. RWE conducted toy drive for elementary & younger students, RMS collected stocking stuffers & gifts for teenagers, and RHS collected food for the families and gifts for teens. This project collected over 1, 029 gifts for students this holiday season. This community project truly supports service learning!
