Did you know that you can stay well, even when everyone around you is sick? The method is simple and inexpensive. Most of us have heard about the importance of handwashing in preventing the spread of disease. We should wash our hands when they are dirty, after using the bathroom, and before eating. This removes many of the germs from our hands.
The next most important thing that we can do to stay healthy is to keep our hands away from our eyes, nose, and mouth. The germs enter our body through these openings. So, if we don’t touch our face, the germs won’t come in! It sounds easy enough, but you would be surprised how often we rub our eyes or nose, bite our fingernails, or lick our fingers after a tasty treat.

1. Wash your hands when they are dirty and before eating.
2. Do not cough into your hands.
3. Do not sneeze into your hands.
4. Above all, do not put your fingers into your eyes, nose or mouth.
