A School Lunch consists of five items chosen from four components.
A student may choose 5 or 4 or 3 items for the price of their school lunch.
In the Wayne County Public Schools Cafeterias, we implement the
OFFER VERSUS SERVE PROGRAM for our students.
A student may choose 5 or 4 or 3 items for the price of their school lunch. The Cafeteria
Cashiers are at the end of the point of sale line to make sure that each student is receiving a
reimbursable meal. If the student does not have enough components on his or her plate,
the student is sent back to the lunch line at that time to make a choice that will make his
or her meal reimbursable. Our Cafeteria Managers and staff are well trained in what
constitutes a reimbursable meal, and they make sure that each student is receiving what
they choose to eat.
