Aycock Beautification Club dues are $5. See Ms. Edwards in room 209 if you'd like to join. The first meeting is Sept. 16 at 2:30 in room 209.
Seniors! The scholarship newsletter for September is posted on the school's website. Go to Counseling Services and click on the link for seniors. See Ms. Diggs if you have questions.
Students who were in photo club LAST YEAR who are interested in being an officer, see Mrs. Long by Tuesday.
If you're interested in trying out for the Falcon Mascot, try outs have been moved to Tuesday, September 16 in the Old Gym after school. Make sure to get a questionnaire from Mrs. Thomas or Mrs. Davis in Room 207. All grade levels are welcome.
English Club: first meeting is Monday the 22nd of Sept during 2nd lunch in room MC-10. You MUST pay your 5$ dues before the first meeting or you will not be allowed to attend.

Seniors who would like to self-nominate for UNC Chapel Hill's Morehead-Cain Scholarship, please see Ms. Diggs in the counseling office. The deadline to apply for the scholarship is October 1st.
Attention Juniors: The Herff Jones representative will be at school on Tuesday, Sept. 16th during lunches and from 3:00-5:00 pm in the New Gym Lobby to take your Class Ring orders. A $60.00 deposit is required.
Underclassmen and staff picture day for all 9, 10, and 11th graders will be Wed. Sept. 17. Students will receive individual appointment times through homeroom. This is also their pass to leave class. Pictures will be taken in the old gym. Any students off campus for jump start classes should be photographed by 12 pm or plan to be here for retake day.
Anyone interested in joining the Spanish Club; Come and see Mr. Meza in the Media Center. Dues are $20. Deadline for joining is September 17. Our first meeting is on Thursday September 18, 2014.
Delta GEMS is seeking female African American students who would like to participate their mentoring program. The program's aim is to assist young women in the following areas: social, academic, arts, community, collegiate and career. If you would like to be part of this group, pick up an application in the counseling office.

Friday, Sept. 26 is the FINAL CHANCE for all seniors to be photographed to appear in the yearbook. Please make plans to be in school Sept. 26 as there will be no more make-ups or studio times available for the yearbook photo. Appointment time cards will be given out in homeroom.

Science Club wants YOU! Be a part of the mission, with new experiments and fun events. Sign up with any science teacher, or bring $10 to the first meeting in Room 100 at 10:55am on Sept. 25th. It'll be a blast!
FCCLA will have its first club meeting Monday, Sept 29 at 9:00 in MC-13. Any FACS student currently enrolled, has already taken a class or will be enrolled in a class Spring semester is eligible to join. The cost is $15 and you can pay any FACS teacher.
The PSAT will be administered at CBA on Saturday, Oct. 18th. If you would like to take this practice test for the SAT, sign up in the counseling office. There is no charge for students in grade 10. All others must pay $14 by Oct. 10th.

The David Williams Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution offer you the opportunity to participate in the annual Christopher Columbus essay contest. The entry deadline is November 20. See Ms. Edwards in room 209 for details.
