All 2014 Football players and those interested in playing football in 2015 should meet today during homeroom in the New Gym. 

Anyone interested in playing men's tennis needs to meet in room 212 immediately after school today.

Applications are now being accepted for the ASCEND program for high school students who are interested in team building, career exploration, college exploration, community service and more. Applications are available in the counseling office, room 109. The deadline to apply is January 31st

Today is the last opportunity to submit work to the Wayne Collection. See Ms. Edwards in room 209 for more information.

The City of Goldsboro, in conjunction with Wayne County, will sponsor its 11th annual poster and essay contest in observance of Human Relations Month. The theme for this month is "unity." See Ms. Edwards in room 209 for more information. 

This year’s Prom will take place on Saturday, April 25th at Walnut Creek Country Club.  Prom Tickets will be sold on Jan. 29th and Jan 30th during all 4 lunches for $25 each.  All guest forms must be turned in by March 25th


Continuing Announcements


Wayne Community College will host an information session for their programs in Dental Hygiene and Dental Assisting, Nursing, Medical Assisting, Pharmacy, Medical Laboratory and Phlebotomy Thursday, Feb. 5 at 5:30pm in the Pine Building, room 224. Any student who is missing a lunch bag should check with Mrs Core in PrimeTime.  PrimeTime is the location for all lost and found items. (run Jan 30th - Feb. 5th)

Anyone wanting to order Aycock Baseball apparel needs to see Mrs. Rhonda Davis in room 502 to pick up an order form.  Orders will be placed on Friday Feb. 6th. (run Jan. 30th – Feb. 5th)

Any girl 16 to 19 years of age that is interested in competing for Miss Daffodil needs to pick up an application at Natalie's located at 101 E. Main St. in Fremont. (run Jan. 30th - Feb. 20th)

The next driver’s education class will be held at Charles B. Aycock High School on February 21, 28, March 7, 14, and 21.  The class will be held from 8 am to 2 pm in the cafeteria.  Any student born after August 20, 2000 is too young to take the class.  The sign up sheet is at Tardy Central in the front lobby.  (run Jan. 30th - Feb. 20th )

The Optimist Club is sponsoring an essay contest which is due February 23, 2015. The topic is "Optimism Should Be a Priority". Winners receive $250. See Ms. Edwards in room 209 for more information. (run Jan 30th – Feb. 20th)

Yearbooks are on sale now through March 6th for $65. Yearbook prices go to $75 after March 6th for any remaining yearbooks.
