Young ladies in the junior class are invited to compete in the Distinguished Young Women of America Scholarship Program. Contestants will be judged based on their scholastic record, interview, talent, fitness and self-expression to be named Distinguished Young Woman of Wayne County.  More information is available in the counseling office. Attention CBA Staff & Students, you are invited to attend a Community Police Relations Program Saturday, April 25th at 10:00am at the Dillard Alumni Center.  This is an opportunity for open dialogue with the Goldsboro Police Department.  More information is available in the counseling office. 


Students will be able to pick up prom tickets during lunch today. Only students who purchased the tickets may pick them up.  A photo ID is needed at time of pick up.  Students are reminded that they must attend school at least one half of the school day and a photo ID will be required at the door for both the buyer and the guest. The name on the ticket MUST MATCH the name on the ID and all guests must be escorted into the prom by the person who purchased the ticket. Students will not be able to enter the prom without a ticket.   Prom will begin at 8:00 PM and end at midnight.  No Students will be admitted early.  Dress Code and School Rules must be followed at all times.  NO MORE CHANGES will be MADE TO PROM TICKETS.


Volunteer opportunity! The NC Pickle Festival (April 24th and 25th in Mount Olive) is looking for volunteers. Students can register by going to ncpicklefest.org and complete the volunteer registration form under the "What's New" section of the website.  Must be 16 years of age or older.  


Auditions for the 2015 CBA Color Guard will be held on April 27-30 and May 1 in the CBA band room from 3:30-5:00.  We are seeking respectful and highly motivated students for this year's guard. Dance experience is a plus!  Please sign-up on the band room door and be sure to dress appropriately. (run April 24th – April 30th)


Continuing Announcements

The Herff Jones representative will be at school April 29th to deliver Cap & Gowns and senior supplies.  They will be located in the New Gym Lobby during all 4 lunches.  CASH or MONEY ORDERS ONLY will be accepted as payments. (run April 24– April 28th)

Attention Seniors!  It is time to turn in your baby picture and group pictures for the Senior Video played at Awards Day.  Turn in a copy of your picture to your homeroom teacher by May 1st.  It can also be submitted online tocbaseniorvideo@gmail.com.  Ask your homeroom teacher or Mrs. Wallen in Room 412 for more details. The next driver's education class will be held at Rosewood High School on May 2, 9, 16, 23, and 30.  The class will be held from 8 am to 2 pm in the cafeteria.  Any student born after November 5, 2000 is too young to take the class.  The sign up sheet will be posted at Tardy Central in the front lobby. Think you can play a beat???? Auditions for the 2015 CBA drum-line will be held May 4th and 6th in the CBA band room from 3:30-4:30 each day.  Don't be scared if you don't know much about playing or can't read music.... you'll learn as you have fun playing!  Please sign-up on the band room door. All first semester JROTC Cadets are cordially invited to attend the JROTC Awards Banquet on May 9, 2015.   Our theme this year is "Honoring those who have served us with Honor,” tribute to our Vietnam Veterans. The banquet will be held at Bill Ellis BBQ in Wilson NC and will begin at 5pm.  Tickets are $15 per person and available for purchase April 15 - May 6. The Wayne County Board of Health is sponsoring a Teen Public Health Perspective Essay Contest. Enter for a chance to win up to $1,000 in scholarship prizes. See Ms. Edwards in room 209 for more information. (run April 24th – May 12th)
