January 9 - 3-Hour Delay for students & staff
This is the image for the news article titled January 9 - 3-Hour Delay for students & staffWCPS will be operating on a 3-Hour delay, Tuesday, January 9. While Monday’s sunshine and warmer temperatures have helped improve secondary roadways and school campuses, there are still many subdivisions, neighborhoods, and parking areas that are still covered in ice. WCPS would encourage everyone to use caution when driving in these areas in the morning, and for students to be extra cautious if walking to or from a bus stop along an icy route.

Additional Updates:

3-Hour Delay info: Custodians and operations crews, you are considered essential personnel and need to report for work at your regular time to double check sidewalks and entrances that were salted and cleared today, as well as to make sure buildings are warm and comfortable for students and staff. All other non-essential staff and students will start their day 3-hours beyond their normal starting time.
HS Exam Schedule: Attention high school students! If you are on the traditional academic calendar, all exams scheduled for Monday and Tuesday have been postponed. The new exam dates will be announced after you return to school.
Getting the most current district notifications: WCPS would encourage everyone to closely monitor their local media and the district website, or follow us at @WayneCountyPS on Facebook or Twitter, for the most current district announcements.
