Wayne County Public Schools realizes the importance of getting students involved in the community. Each year, we have hundreds of students, and sometimes entire classrooms, who will offer their time and talents to touch lives. Whether it is through volunteering, or through community service projects, our students and staff see the value of lending a hand to help those who cannot help themselves.

That is why we have created this "Become a Volunteer" section, as well as provided the below link to the Wayne TeenZone website. Wayne TeenZone is a youth outreach program of Communities in Schools. Their goal is to help teens find ways to get involved and make a difference in Wayne County. The staff of Communities in Schools is available to assist students in finding a meaningful volunteer experience and will also help students and teachers in developing service projects.

Wayne County Public Schools hopes this web resource will help students who are looking to build community service hours for graduation, college applications, and scholarships. Please take a few minutes to review this site to learn more about how you can get involved.
