Dr. Earl Moore, Principal. Extension 2002 - Email
A native of New Bern, North Carolina and graduate of New Bern Senior High School, Dr. Moore taught at CBA for 23 years and served as an assistant principal for two years. He later worked as an assistant principal at Meadow Lane Elementary for one year and as principal of Brogden Middle for four years. Dr. Moore returned home to CBA in 2007. Dr. Moore is a published author in The School Administrator (November, 2007 issue). He earned his BS Degree in Business Education from Fayetteville State University in Fayetteville, NC and a BS Degree in Religion from Mount Olive College in Mt. Olive, NC. He later earned his MSA (Masters in School Administration) from East Carolina University, Greenville, NC and his Ed. D (Doctor of Education) Nova Southeastern University, Ft. Lauderdale, FL.
Mrs. Karen Stevens, Assistant Principal,
Mrs. Stevens calls North Carolina her home, but has lived in a number of states and abroad. She is a graduate of Seventy-First High School in Fayetteville. Mrs. Stevens taught in Cumberland County for 10 years, and another three as an assistant principal. She moved to New Hanover County with her husband where she taught fourth and fifth grades for three years; and then moved to Wayne County where she taught fourth and fifth grades at Tommy’s Road Elementary. She became the assistant principal at Dillard Middle School in 2007. Mrs. Stevens earned her BA in Sociology and BS in Education from UNC-P. She later earned her MA in Education from UNC-P and her certification in administration.
Mr. John Twitty, Assistant Principal
Mr. Twitty comes to us as a former principal. He began his educational career in 1999 as an English Language Arts teacher at Belfast Academy and later Brogden Middle School. He later became the assistant principal of Mt. Olive Middle School and Eastern Wayne High. He was named principal of Belfast Academy/Wayne High Academy and Goldsboro High. His BS Degree was earned from Troy State University and he later received a Masters in School Administration from the University of Phoenix. Mr. Twitty is also U. S. Air Force veteran of 26 years.
