Graduation projects are being implemented as an extension of the NC Standard Course of Study to meet North Carolina Exit Standards for all students entering the ninth grade in the 2006-2007 school year. The projects are student centered:  the students will choose their topic which must be approved by the EWHS graduation project advisory team. The graduation project is an opportunity for students to stretch academically and demonstrate and apply 21st century skills learned in a real world situation.
