Military Child Education Services

Here to support and advocate for military-connected students and families, the WCPS Military Liaison Counselor works in partnership with Seymour Johnson Air Force Base personnel, other state liaisons, and area schools. North Carolina is committed to its military personnel and strives to be the friendliest military state in the country. The WCPS Military Liaison Counselor may be contacted during the school year for assistance with issues involving:

  • School system navigation
  • Transcript evaluation for transitioning high school students
  • Transition-related issues
  • Interstate Compact compliance
  • Deployment support
  • General concerns - individual consultation, parent conferences
  • Presentations and Trainings
  • Traumatic events
  • Student opportunities - scholarships and enrichment
