“This annual Career Fair helps participating students become more aware of potential career options available to them after graduation,” states Beverly Boltinhouse, WCPS Career and Technical Education Director. “The event also provides students a great opportunity to meet and talk with HR or recruiting representatives to learn about the qualifications employers are looking for in applicants.”

The event was held at the Goldsboro Family YMCA. Approximately 25 organizations, including area businesses and industries, law enforcement agencies, Wayne Community College, and various military branches were represented.

“The WCPS Career & Technical Education Program is passionate about helping bridge the gap between school and the workforce in order to help students be successful in the job place,” adds Mrs. Boltinhouse. “We appreciate all of the participating organizations who took part in this year’s High School Career Fair. I would also like to extend my personal thanks to my staff and all of the high school Career Development Coordinators for their support in organizing this event.”
