WCPS to Hold Spring Parent Seminar
This is the image for the news article titled WCPS to Hold Spring Parent SeminarWayne County Public Schools (WCPS) will hold its annual Title I Spring Parent Seminar on Thursday, March 15, at the WCPS Professional Development & Family Engagement Center, located at 415 S. Virginia Street, in Goldsboro.

The Parent Seminar will begin at 9:00 a.m. This year’s guest speaker will be Nikki Bush, a South African bestselling author, motivational speaker, and creative parenting expert. Parents who attend will hear strategies designed to help them “future proof” their child and become “tech-savvy” parents.

“We are excited to have Mrs. Bush join us to share her strategies for helping parents cultivate strong relationships with their children in order to help them become successful in school and in life,” states Caroline Brown, WCPS Title I Parent Facilitator. “I believe her expertise and ability to motivate parents to become better engaged in their children’s lives will make this year’s Parent Seminar special for all of the parents and school staff who attend.”

The event is free to participants. Refreshments and lunch will be provided. Transportation, translators and childcare are available upon request. Registration for the event begins at 8:30 AM.
