WCPS to Hold Spring Parent Seminar

Wayne County Public Schools (WCPS) will hold its annual Title I Spring Parent Seminar on Thursday, April 4, at the WCPS Professional Development & Family Engagement Center, located at 415 S. Virginia Street, in Goldsboro.

The Parent Seminar will begin at 9:00 a.m. This year’s guest speaker will be Freddie Pierce, local entertainer, speaker and author. The theme for this year’s spring seminar is, “The masterpiece is you: The Magic of communicating successfully in the 21st Century.”

“Mr. Pierce will lead a fun and interactive session for parents,” states Caroline Brown, WCPS Title I Parent Facilitator/Compliance Specialist. “He will share key strategies to help participants be able to successfully communicate with children and adults.”

The event is free to participants. Refreshments and lunch will be provided. Translators and childcare are available upon request. Registration for the event begins at 8:30 AM.
