Art

Art on a Cart

with Mrs. Kelsie Smith

Hi!  My name is Kelsie Smith and I teach "art on a cart" here at BPS!  I graduated from Virginia Tech with a degree in Studio Art and Art History and then went to Old Dominion University to become a teacher.  I have been teaching art for three years now, but this is my first year at BPS.  I absolutely LOVE getting to share the joy of art with all of my students!

Art with Mrs. Parks

My name is Emily Parks.  I have been teaching for 15 years and have taught elementary, middle and high school students.  Elementary is my favorite!
I love art and have a Bachelor's of Fine Art from East Carolina University (Go Pirates!).  I love to draw and was a metalsmith in college.
I am from Mount Olive and went to school at Carver, Mt. Olive Middle School and Southern Wayne High School.

I live in Mount Olive with my husband and son.  We have a dog and a bunch of chickens at our house, but we also have a farm where we raise hogs and cows too.

In my free time, I love to read and play video games.  I also am active in my church where I help with the children's church group and help the boy scout troop my son is in.

I am excited about all the great things that are happening at Brogden Primary and look forward to getting to work with the students here this year!
