My name is Belinda Moye and I am so delighted to be your child’s teacher during the 2019-2020 school year.  Together we can make a difference.I have been teaching for 14 years. I earned my Early Childhood Education undergraduate degree at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University and  completed my Masters of Arts of Teaching at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.

    My overall goal is to encourage and uplift students to reach for the stars with realistic goals. I believe that family support plays an important role in the succession of education. My goal is to expose students to options and strategies that improve their quality of life. My daily goal is to brighten someone’s day with an act of kindness.

AGENDAS: Agendas are used by students to write their homework. Agendas go home nightly and is a excellent source of communication.  I initial students' agendas every day and make note of student behavior for that day in regards to our PBIS expectations.

Homework: Homework is to help students practice and  master skills. Students have homework Monday through Thursday, this includes 30 minutes of reading nightly. Students who miss homework due to an absence are responsible to collect  and complete the missed homework  assignment  upon returning to school. Parents/Students can call/text me before 9:00 p.m. if they need assistance with homework.

PBIS: Students can earn 3 tickets a day from classroom teacher. Tickets can be used to purchase items in school store on Friday’s for fifth graders, Tickets are not given for the following after verbal warnings:

• Talking while Teacher is talking during instruction time
• Disruption
• Off-Task
• Bullying
• Physical Contact
• Not Following directions
