For those who do not require an appointment, complete Form 6 "Claiming Your Monthly Retirement Benefit" from the Orbit website or available at the Central Office and submit to the WCPS Human Resources Department,

On Form 6, monthly retirement benefits are effective for the first day of any month. You must sign, date, and file your retirement application at least 1 day and not more than 120 days before your effective date of retirement. We encourage you to start the retirement process approximately 90-120 days prior to your effective retirement date.
