Low-Performing Schools – Requirements for 2020-21
Due to a lack of assessment data during the 19-20 academic year, the state lists of Low-Performing schools and Low-Performing districts stayed the same for 20-21. However, low-performing identification continues pending assessment data from the 20-21 school year
Wayne County Public Schools District and School Improvement Teams meet regularly to discuss ideas for improving our schools and teaching methods. Also concerns and issues pertaining to our students, teachers, and staff are also discussed. Yearly, the Teams revise the District Improvement Plan, and the School Improvement Plan which outlines goals and strategies.
The District and site School Improvement Plans are located in NC Indistar, which is a school improvement planning tool. Indistar has 12 key indicators plus additional indicators that can be selected to target specific areas of improvement. We invite parents and community partners to view our Indistar plan for strategic improvement using the following link: http://www.indistar.org/
