The following is a brief recap of the July 13, 2020 Monthly Board of Education Meeting:
One of the top discussion items for the Board was school reopening options. Tamara Berman Ishee, Assistant Superintendent for Teaching & Learning, shared an update on Plan “B” and “C”. She reminded the Board that Plan "B" is a hybrid option of face-to-face and remote instruction. Plan "C" is completely remote. As part of her update, Berman Ishee shared that the school district is planning to post drafts of the plans for public review once completed with Plan "C" expected to be released later this week.
Following the update, five policies were brought before the Board for their review and/or approval: 2000, 2121, 2130, and 4120. The Board also considered and approved the following local memorandums of agreements and/or contracts:
The final action taken by the Board was to approve the 2020-2021 Fund 4 Small Project List, which was made up of more than $1.2 million in school renovation projects and updates. The complete project list can be viewed by clicking on Fund 4 Link.
Before closing out the meeting with Board comments, the Board approved its consent agenda, which included past meeting minutes, a personnel report, and student reassignments/revocation requests.
