This past week, the Wayne County Board of Education and Wayne County Board of Commissioners approved 40 school projects to be completed over the next five years if the 1/4¢ sales and use tax is approved by voters during the March 3 primary election. In the coming days, a series of community meetings will be held to help school communities and the public become more informed about the school projects and the proposed 1/4¢ sales tax.
Below is the meeting schedule. Parents with students at Edgewood Community Developmental School, Wayne Academy, Wayne Early/Middle College High School and Wayne School of Engineering are encouraged to attend the meeting closest to where they live.
