Mrs. Toni Tadlock - Teacher of the Year
As our IEP Chair and 5th–8th Grade EC Resource Teacher, Toni Tadlock consistently goes above and beyond to ensure that our students receive the support, advocacy, and high-quality instruction they deserve. Her leadership in the EC department, attention to detail, and unwavering commitment to student growth make a lasting impact on both students and staff. She approaches every challenge fully charged with passion, professionalism, and heart.
Instructional Assistant of the Year – Shannon McKinnie
Shannon McKinnie, our EC Instructional Assistant serving our Self-Contained and Life Skills students, is a steady and compassionate presence in our school community. Her dedication, patience, and willingness to do whatever it takes to support students and teachers alike does not go unnoticed. She pours herself into her work each day, helping ensure that every student feels valued, supported, and empowered.
Beginning Teacher of the Year – Mrs. Nekemia Thigpen
Mrs. Nekemia Thigpen, our Self-Contained and Life Skills Teacher, has made an incredible impact in her time with us. As a beginning teacher, she has demonstrated exceptional dedication, creativity, and resilience. Her commitment to meeting the diverse needs of her students while building strong relationships with families and colleagues reflects a professionalism well beyond her years in the classroom. She truly leads her classroom fully charged with energy and purpose.
