Congratulations to Jared, Brayden, Abram, and Austyn on their phenomenal performance this weekend with the NCBA Eastern District Band!
They've spent the last two days preparing music with other students from all over eastern North Carolina. They completed their two days with an amazing concert in Wright Auditorium at East Carolina University.

Feb 4th and Feb 6th after school til 5:00pm in Mr. Corbitt's classroom. Bring a song with you that you can sing without music. You will be free to leave after your audition. All roles are available! There are major singing and speaking roles and there are small roles… So, everyone is welcome. Please have rides plan on picking you up no later than 5:00pm in the carpool area. The lottery application is now open for 8th grade students to apply for Wayne Early Middle College High School (WEMCHS).
WEMCHS will hold an information session for current 8th grade students and their families on Tuesday, January 28, at 6 pm in the Wayne Community College auditorium. As part of the information sessions, students and staff members will share more about the school and their experience. Opened in 2006, WEMCHS is an innovative school consisting of grades 9-13. Located on the campus of Wayne Community College, students have the opportunity to complete their North Carolina high school graduation requirements and a two-year Associate Degree or two years of college transfer courses in a 4-5 year period. Students do not pay for tuition or purchase college textbooks. Students are dually enrolled in high school and college courses. All high school courses are offered at the honors level.
Parents unable to attend an information session or tour can contact a school directly for more information. The deadline to apply to be included in a lottery for a school is 5 PM on Friday, February 28.
