Beginning June 8th, our summer office hours will be 7:30 - 5:30, Monday through Thursday. Teachers will return August 11th. See the EVENTS section of this website for dates for Open House. Students return to school on Monday August 24th. We hope everyone has a safe and enjoyable Summer, and we look forward to seeing you all in the Fall!

Reminder: Wednesday, December 20, is an early release day for all WCPS students. All schools will dismiss two hours earlier than usual. Have a safe and happy Holiday break!
Reminder: Wednesday, November 29, will be an early release day for most Traditional Calendar schools, Carver Heights Elementary, & Goldsboro High. WEMCHS, WSTA, & WSE will dismiss at their regular time. All other schools will dismiss 2-hours early. Please contact your child’s school if you need more information.

Congratulations to Thurman Bunn for being named the WCPS 2022-2023 School Bus Driver of the Year!
Congratulations to Kelly Core for receiving the WCPS 2022-2023 Technician Performance Award!
WCPS closed out its School Bus Driver Appreciation Luncheon by announcing its new 30 step salary scale for school bus drivers beginning July 1. The new starting salary is $16.17 per hour with drivers receiving annual pay increases. The district also presented a $500 appreciation bonus to bus drivers for their efforts to pick up extra routes and responsibilities this year due to driver vacancies. Thank you again for all that you do!!
