The playground at TRE was transformed into a field of colorful possibilities this week as second graders headed outdoors for their annual Spring Egg Hunt. Under a bright blue sky, the students traded their pencils for baskets, eager to track down the hidden treasures scattered across the grass.
The excitement wasn't just limited to the students, either. Even Ms. Shannon Lewis, the school’s computer lab teacher, stepped away from the screens and keyboards to join in the fun, helping students spot those particularly tricky hiding spots.
The event drew quite the crowd of spectators. Miss Allen, Principal, and Mrs. Heatley, Assistant Principal, made sure to stop by and cheer on the kids. They were spotted enjoying the fresh air while watching Mrs. Hobbs’ class navigate the field with expert precision.
From the frantic dash at the start to the proud displays of "golden eggs" at the finish, it was a perfect day for the TRE community to celebrate the season together.
Highlights of the Day:
Teamwork: Students were seen helping friends fill their baskets.
Staff Involvement: A rare sighting of our favorite tech expert, Ms. Lewis, in the "wild"!
School Spirit: Encouragement from Miss Allen and Mrs. Heatley made the hunt feel like a true championship event.
