🌎 Science Comes to Life in Earth & Environmental Science! 🌎🌋
Mrs. Viterbo-Pablico's Earth & Environmental Science students recently took their learning off the page and into their own hands! 👏
As part of their study of volcanic eruptions, earthquakes, and tsunamis, students first created a Survival Booklet and then took on the challenge of building a model assigned to their group.
Some groups created cinder cone, composite, and shield volcanoes, while others built models to demonstrate earthquakes and tsunamis. 🌋
Today, the groups presented their models to the class. Students explained the materials and processes they used, while their classmates became scientists themselves—identifying the type of model and predicting what would happen during the demonstration!
Then came the fun part… the demonstrations! 💥 The volcano groups put their eruptions into action, while the earthquake and tsunami groups demonstrated how these powerful natural events occur.
The creativity, teamwork, and enthusiasm these students showed were incredible! 💙🩶 It was wonderful to see them learning by doing, thinking critically, making predictions, and sharing their knowledge with one another.

Math wasn’t staying inside the classroom today! Our students in Mrs. Burton’s Math class were out and about on campus putting their learning into action.
Students worked together to measure and apply their knowledge of right triangles in real-world situations, using the spaces and structures around them as their classroom! 📐🏫
It’s one thing to learn the math… but it’s another thing to see it, measure it, and use it in the real world! 💡👏
