Wayne County Public Schools was recently closed due to inclement weather. After reviewing local options, district administration developed the following student make-up schedule, which was approved this week by the Wayne County Board of Education.
Traditional Academic Calendar: Student make-up days are scheduled for February 16 and March 16. These dates were originally scheduled as staff workdays. To help recover lost instructional time, the Early Dismissals scheduled for February 25, March 25, April 22, and May 13 have been canceled. All schools will dismiss at their regular time on those dates.
Non-Traditional Academic Calendars (WEMCHS and WSE): Student make-up days are scheduled for February 16, March 5, and March 6. These dates were originally scheduled as staff workdays.
