Lottery for Special Purpose Schools!
Wayne County Public Schools (WCPS) is proud to offer three Special Purpose Schools to students and families which are as unique as they are innovative in design. For the 2027-2028 school year, the lottery application window for students wishing to attend a Special Purpose School will open in December 2026 and close in February 2027.

Attention current 10th grade students!
Attention rising juniors! Are you interested in becoming a teacher one day? Then consider enrolling in the WCPS Teacher Cadet Program! You can receive free college classes, have opportunities to attend state and national conferences, be able to earn microcredentials and digital badges, experience apprenticeship and/or pre-apprenticeship pathways, and more! The best part is that you can take the first steps to becoming a teacher before you graduate high school!
