The proposed $207 million budget works to address the following Board and district priorities while working to maintain a balanced budget:

  • Safety & Security (continuation)

  • Capital Facility Needs

  • Current Expense Budget Request

    • EC Program - legally required services

    • Media

    • Fine Arts

    • Middle School Athletics

“Like past budgets I have developed, this year's proposed budget makes wise investments in safety and security, facility and human capital improvements,” states Dr. Whichard. “Wise planning and sound budgetary practices have emerged as hallmarks for our district. As a steward of public funds, I am committed to providing a strong return of investment through continued gains in academic outcomes, improved campuses, enhanced teacher recruitment and retainment initiatives, and stronger offerings within our academic and extracurricular programs.”
