ANNOUNCEMENTS:
Due to the February closures caused by icy weather, traditional calendar schools will have the following make up schedule:
The May 14 Early Dismissal day will now be regular student day. This means, schools will dismiss at their regular time.
Please take a moment to congratulate the following athletes on an outstanding performance at Wednesday's QCC TrackConference Championship:
Savannah Odom placed 3rd in Discus
Alonna Frederick placed 1st in Discus and 3rd in Shot Put
Dayvion Hough placed 3rd in the 400 Meter Dash
Ayden Booker placed 2nd in the 400 Meter Dash
Jadon Best placed 2nd in Shot Put.
William "Seth" Cowan placed 1st in Discus, 2nd in Shot Put J
eremy Johnson placed 3rd in the 200 Meter Dash, 2nd in the 100 Meter Dash, and 1st in the 110 High Hurdles.
Jeremy Johnson was also awarded the Male Athlete of the Year for the QCC Conference.
Our Guys 4x100 Relay placed 3rd
Our Guys 4x800 Relay placed 3rd
Our Guys 4x400 Relay placed 1st place and qualified to compete at the Regional Championship next Saturday.
As a team, our guys finished in 3rd place with 106.5 points.
We have several athletes that will be competing at the 3A Regional Championship.
Our next competition will be this Saturday! Good Luck Golden Falcons!!
In a closely contested playoff match, the Golden Falcons Men's Tennis team came up just short 3-6 at home vs. Durham School of the Arts Monday afternoon. All 9 matches could have gone either way but we are extremely proud of our team's fight.
CBA finishes the team season with a 13-3 overall record while 10-2(2nd place conf. finisher).
Our #1 doubles team(Perry/Call) along with our #2 doubles team (Rogers brothers) will now compete at Regionals(individual play) in Wilson(Barton College) this Fri. and Sat.

Welcome back everyone, time to gear up for powderpuff! Each spring our students look forward to our powderpuff events where we host men's volleyball and women's flag football. Student sign ups will begin today (Monday 4/28) with powderpuff being on Monday, May 19th this year. Please use the QR Code attached to this message for sign ups!

Seniors...it's not too late to submit your FAFSA. The next drawing will be Wednesday, May 7th. Contact your school counselor if you need assistance!
Seniors...Are you planning to attend college after graduation? Have you submitted your FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid)? All college-bound seniors are encouraged to submit the FAFSA, regardless of family income. CBA HS has 76 seniors that have completed this step. Beginning Monday, April 28th we will recognize students who have completed their FAFSA. Students will be entered into a raffle drawing for some awesome gift cards including Sweet Frog, Starbucks, Dominos, Old Navy, Zaxby's and Krispy Kreme. We will draw 3 winners each week beginning April 28th- May 30th. So, what are you waiting for? Apply today!

The day you have worked so hard for is almost here!! I wanted to take a minute to remind you of the dress code for graduation for ALL students:
Attire:
CBA HS Cap & Gown with ONLY WCPS cords and stoles
Dress- White or pastel colored only (within WCPS dress code)
Dress pants- tan, black or navy pants and white shirt
NO JEANS, TANKS-TOPS or SHORTS
Shoes:
No flip-flops, bedroom shoes or slippers, crocs, combat boots or stilettos
Please be reminded that heels WILL sink into the ground and make it very hard to walk. Please wear flats or wedges.
Cap:
DECORATING YOUR CAP IS NOT ALLOWED AND YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO WALK IF YOU PUT ANY DECORATIONS ON THE CAP.
