WELCOME BACK!! Despite the rainy weather, the Greenwood T-Bird family was all smiles coming back to start the 2023-2024 school year!! So happy to have all of our students back in the house!!
ATHLETIC TRYOUT INFORMATION
Tryouts for the following sports will be held on Tuesday, August 29, 2023.
Football (7th and 8th graders ONLY)
Boy's Soccer (6,7,8th Grades)
Volleyball (6,7,8th Grades)
All interested students MUST have a current NCHSAA physical on file or in hand, be registered and complete all required forms in Final Forms, and be eligible with grades and attendance before being allowed to tryout.
All interested students will meet in the gym immediately after school and tryouts will be completed at 6:00pm. All parents need to be at the school no later than 6:00pm to pick up their students.

GREENWOOD OPEN HOUSE HOURS AND INFO It is that time of year again!! Open house for all grade levels will be held on Wednesday, August 23, 2023, by appointment, in the form of induction meetings at the following times: 11:00am-12:30pm 1:00pm-2:30pm 3:00pm-4:30pm 5:30pm-7:00pm Homeroom teachers will be contacting parents starting Thursday, August 17 and Friday, August 18 to set up appointment times for these meetings. We are looking forward to seeing all of you T-Birds for the new school year!!
Supply Lists for the 2023-2024 school year are available on our new website and at the front lobby of the school. To access the lists online, click on "MENU" then when you see the buttons, click on the "DOCUMENTS" button. Then click on "FOR PARENTS".
To pick up from the school, the office is open Monday-Thursday from 7:30am-5:30pm. They are closed for lunch form 12:00pm-1:00pm
WCPS closed out its School Bus Driver Appreciation Luncheon by announcing its new 30 step salary scale for school bus drivers beginning July 1. The new starting salary is $16.17 per hour with drivers receiving annual pay increases. The district also presented a $500 appreciation bonus to bus drivers for their efforts to pick up extra routes and responsibilities this year due to driver vacancies. Thank you again for all that you do!!
