Here are our updates and reminders for next week. The PBIS focus will be all areas. We will continue reviewing routines, procedures, and expectations. Last week was such an exciting week! Seeing all of your babies' smiling faces walking through halls truly brightened our staff's day. Please continue talking with your child about our school expectations , as well as your expectations for them.
We experienced a few small issues with buses last week, some behaviors, morning and afternoon arrival times fluctuated. We are hopeful that this week the times will become more consistent. Bus 611 had a 10 minute change on Thursday afternoon which will cause the bus to be 10 minutes earlier. If your child is outside 15 minutes early and your door is open 30 minutes before time, your child should not miss the bus. Don't forget to check the bus calendar daily to ensure that your child's bus is operating. The bus calendar can be found on the Northeast website. The majority of the students should be assigned a bus. Ms. Brooks will create a Talking Points group for bus information so that we do not disturb our car rider families with transportation messages.
Don't forget that your child is counted tardy after 8:30. You will need to park and come inside to sign your child in. Don't forget that our breakfast stops at 8:30. Every child that enters the building between 8:10 and 8:30 will be served breakfast. Students are asked to go directly to breakfast. The only students that will be able to get breakfast after 8:30 are the students on the bus. They are not counted tardy on the bus.
Last reminder, our early check out ends at 3:00. If you arrive after 3:00 you will have to wait until the car rider line is complete before someone can assist you. If you do not have your car tag hung up in your car, you will be asked to park and wait until after dismissal before someone can assist you. All staff members assist during the dismissal process. As always, have a wonderful evening and we will see you tomorrow.
Good evening, Northeast Guardians!
Here are some important updates and reminders for the upcoming week.
This week, we will be reviewing expectations for riding the bus and for being at school. Please talk with your child about these expectations.
Tomorrow, August 24, is the first day of school! We are excited to welcome our students back!
School Arrival
Students may enter the building beginning at 8:10 a.m.
Students are considered tardy after 8:30 a.m. Unless they are riding the bus.
If your child arrives after 8:30 a.m., a parent/guardian will need to park and come inside the school to sign them in.
Breakfast ends at 8:30, unless your child is on the bus.
Our handheld scanner and computer are now located in the lobby area to assist with the arrival and dismissal process.
Please have your child's barcode with you to help make the sign-in process quicker.
A helpful tip is to take a picture of your child's barcode so you will always have it readily available. You are able to share the barcode with anyone that is authorized to sign your child out of school.
The barcode is also needed when checking your child out at the end of the school day.
School Dismissal
Cars are not allowed to part in front of the school to wait for dismissal until after 3:15. Cars will enter the parking lot using the racetrack and stop at the stop sign. At 3:15, our school SRO will remove the cones so that families can pull up. School will dismiss at 3:30 p.m. every day.
Early checkout will end at 3:00 o'clock. To sign your child out of school, you will utilize both computers outside of the office. When you have completed the process, it will signal the staff to call your child to the office. Your child will exit out of the side doors right before the lobby and meet you at the front doors near the parent waiting area outside.
Bus Transportation
Reminder that the time given for bus 138 is one hour off. The times for bus 610 and 611 are off by 30 minutes. The times for bus 105 are correct. Students should be outside at least 15 minutes early. To track the bus, you can use the app Here comes the bus. You will need your child’s student ID number. The district code is 30332.
Please be patient with our bus drivers during the first couple of weeks of school. Drivers will be adjusting the routes and getting familiar with their students and stops. After the first two weeks, you should begin to see a pattern for approximately what time your child will be picked up and dropped off each day. Don't forget to check the bus calendar daily to see if the bus is operating. To view the bus calendar, visit out Northeast website.
Thank you for your patience, support, and partnership as we begin a new school year. We are looking forward to a wonderful first day! To read this message in its entirety, visit the Northeast website or our Facebook page.
Have a great evening, and we will see everyone tomorrow!
Good evening, Northeast Eagles!
We wanted to remind everyone about our Open House tomorrow night from 5:00–7:00 p.m.
When you come out to meet your child’s teacher, please bring your child’s school supplies. We know the first day of school can be a lot, so we want to make things a little easier by allowing you to drop off your child’s supplies during Open House.
Our new school nurse, Mrs. Joyner, will be here on campus from 5:00-6:15 p.m. She will be able to assist you with medical paperwork, receive medications, etc.
Please write your child’s name on the inside of their bookbag. This will be especially helpful for our Kindergarten students and our shy students who may need a little assistance identifying their belongings.
