Monday June 2nd, The Focus drawings will be 1:30-1:50 for K-2 students and 2:00-2:20 for 3rd-5th grade students. Tuesday, June 3rd with be Reading EOG readministration for recommended 3rd - 5th grade students. Third grade students awards ceremony will be 1:30-2:30. Wednesday, June 4th, EOG readministration for the recommended Math 3rd and 4th. Awards Ceremonies: K - 8:00-9:00, 1st - 9:30-10:30 and 4th-1:30-2:30. Thursday, June 5th, EOG: Readministration Math the recommended 5th grade students. Awards Ceremonies: 2nd - 8:00-9:00, Pre-K - 9:30-10:30 and 5th - 1:30-2:30. Friday, June 6th is the last day of school for students. The students will be released at 12:45. We wish everyone a great summer. Good evening Northeast Guardians: here are next week’s updates and reminders. The PBIS focus will be the playground. Tomorrow, May 26th, school will be closed for Memorial Day. Tuesday, May 27th, third through fifth grade students will be taking their Math EOG assessment. Thursday, May 29th, fifth grade students will be taking their Science EOG. Friday, May 30th will be hat day. Students and staff will be able to pay $1 to wear their hats in the building. Saturday, May 31st, the PTO will be doing a Fun Run fundraiser. It will be 9 to 2 at the school. Vendors and food trucks will be on-site. The PTO will be accepting vendor and food truck registrations until tomorrow, May 26th. Good evening Northeast Guardians, here are next week’s updates and reminders. The PBIS focus will be the bathroom. Tuesday, May 20th will be moving up night. The times will be 5:00-5:45 and 5:45-6:30. There will be STEM activities in the gym from 5:00-6:30. On Wednesday, May 21st, there will be an EOG encouragement parade. The line-up will begin at 1:15 and the parade will begin at 1:30. Friday, May 23, third through fifth-grade students will be taking their reading EOG. Good evening Northeast guardians: here are next week’s updates and reminders. The PBIS focus will be the cafeteria. Please remind your child that for the first ten minutes in the cafeteria, the students are supposed to eat without talking. Happy Mother’s Day to all of our Mothers. Friday, May 16th the students can pay $1 to wear a hat in the building. This is a fundraiser for the school’s PTO. The teachers were so happy with the cards, flowers, and many more treats from the students. The teachers would like to thank the parents and the community for all that you do to support the students and staff of Northeast. Some students started taking their end-of-year assessments last week please make sure that your child comes to school daily and is well rested so they will do their best on their assessments. Your child’s progress report went home last week if you have any questions, please contact the classroom teacher. Good evening Northeast guardians, here are next week's updates and reminders. The PBIS focus will be the hallway. May 5th-9th is teacher appreciation. Next week will be the start of the EOY Benchmark and Star Assessments. Please make sure that your child is at school and gets plenty of rest. Tuesday, May 6th is National Nurses Day. Nurse Anna is an amazing nurse who goes the extra mile for our students. Wednesday, May 7th, progress reports go home. Please make sure to review them and reach out to your child’s teacher if you have any questions. Friday, May 9th, will be Pre-K field day and PTO hat day. Students and staff can pay $1 to wear hats in the building. This is another reminder that bus 521 will run pm only at 1:15 to take students home from school. If you want your child to ride, please send a message to the classroom teacher. The message should be sent before 12. The bus that will take home bus 521 students will be bus 138. Bus 136 route was split up and those students will ride bus 136, with a new driver, or bus 621. Bus assignments went home on Friday. If your child did not get a bus assignment sheet or something was incorrect, please reach out to Ms. Brooks on Classdojo. Bus 488 will now be replaced by bus 136. Good evening Northeast Guardians: here are next week's reminders and events. The PBIS focus this week will be the classroom. The YMCA after school program will no longer be operating on campus at NEE. The service will still be offered, but students will be picked up and bussed to the YMCA facility. If you have questions or concerns regarding this change, feel free to reach out to the YMCA. Tuesday, May 29th, the fifth grade students will be going on a field trip to the symphony in Raleigh. Wednesday, April 30th the students will be taking Spring Pictures. Thursday, May 1st, parents will have the opportunity to view the fifth grade Science projects. Parents are able to come out and view projects 10:30 till 11:30 in the classrooms. Friday, May 2nd, the first grade students will be going on a field trip to Dean's Farm in Wilson. The PTO is having a fundraiser. Students and staff can pay $1 and they will be able to wear a hat inside the building. Monday, April 14th, the fifth grade students will have a Science Alliance Stay Trip. The stay trip will start at 8 and end at 12. Wednesday, April 16th, the Kindergarten students will go on a field trip to Simply Natural. They will leave campus at 8:30 and return at 2. Thursday, April 17th, will be field day and the last day of school before Spring Break. Please don't forget to check the bus calendar to make sure that your child's bus is operating. The cost of a yearbook is $25. Monday, April 7th, don't forget to come out to Pizza Inn tomorrow night to support our NEE PTO. The fourth-grade students will be going to Charles B. Aycock Birthplace. Coin Wars will begin tomorrow, April 7th and end Friday, April 11th. April is the month of the Military Child. Friday, April 11th is Purple Up Day. Good evening Northeast Guardians; Here are next week's updates and reminders. The PBIS focus next week will be the Cafeteria. Ask your child to tell you the procedures/routines for the cafeteria. Please have your child complete IXLmath and reading at home, when possible. It is a goal for students to do 45 minutes in reading and math a week on IXL. Friday, April 4th, our second-grade students will be going on a field trip to Clemmons Educational Forest. The students will leave at 8:30 am and will return to campus at 2:00 pm. Please mark your calendars for April 7th, our Northeast PTO will have a fundraiser at Pizza Inn. Stop by for dinner to support our wonderful PTO. Our coin wars begin on April 7th and end on April 11th. If you would like another way to support our PTO, send your child to school with coins to help fill up the coin jars. Don't forget to look at the bus calendar daily to ensure that your child's bus is operating. One last reminder, please send a note or a Classdojo message when your child is absent. Good evening Northeast Guardians: Here are next week's updates and reminders. The PBIS focus this week will be the hallway. Be sure to ask your child for a procedure for the hallway. Don't forget that tomorrow March 17th will be a makeup day for the closures due to the weather. Tomorrow and Tuesday students will complete their monthly Star Assessment. Monday will be reading and Tuesday will be math. Thursday, March 20th some students will be participating in the Battle of the Books. Let's cheer them on and let's hope they enjoy the experience. Also, on Thursday, don't forget that our PTO will be doing a fundraiser at Chuck-E-Cheese. The event starts at 3:00 and will last until closing. The students will come home with a sticker that will give them tokens. They will also have a flyer that will be coupons. Friday, March 21st, our fourth-grade students will be going to the Outer Banks. The students will leave campus at 7:30am and return at 7:30pm. Also on Friday, your child's report card will go home. If you have any questions about the report card, please contact your child's teacher. The last reminder is don't forget to update your Classdojo so that you will be able to continue to get the bus calendar. The updated version is 11.81.0. You may have to delete the app and reinstall it. Next week we will be having Spirit Week. March Madness Spirit week will consist of: Monday- wear green/dress like a leprechaun....Tuesday- teacher/student swap....Wednesday-mismatch day...Thursday-hat and/or crazy sock day....Friday- wear your favorite college team attire. Good evening Northeast Guardians; Here are next week's updates and reminders. The PBIS focus this week will be classroom. Please be reminded that after your child receives 3 classroom PBIS write-ups, their fourth will be an office referral. Wednesday, March 12th the district will be making up some lost time from the storm. March 12th will be a full day of school. March 15th is the last day of the grading period. Please make sure that your child has completed all missed work. The school form of communication is Classdojo. Please make sure that you have the latest version of Classdojo. The latest version is 11.81.0. Classdojo is used to connect to our bus calendar. The bus calendar should be checked daily to ensure that your child's bus is running. The daily schedule is: breakfast doors close at 7:25 for car riders. If your child is not out of the car and in the building by 7:30, they are considered tardy and must be signed in by an adult. Early checkout ends at 2:30 so that the office staff can assist with dismissal. If you do not have you car tag and in the car rider line by 2:50, you will have to wait until the car rider line is complete to come into the building to get your child. Once the staff leaves the car rider line in the morning and in the afternoon, you will have to come in the building. Mark your calendars for March 20th, NEE PTO has a fundraiser scheduled 3:00 until close. Thank you and have a great weekend

Good evening Northeast Guardians; Here are next week's updates and reminders. The PBIS focus will be bus. The bus referrals last month were high. Please talk with your child about following the bus rules. Friday, March 7th, the EC students will leave for their field trip at 9:30 and return to campus around 2:00. The Fifth-grade students will be participating in the Luck of the Fraction. Group 1 -7:45-10:15 and Group 2 -12:15-2:45. Reminders: Students are tardy at 7:30. An adult must walk the student in and sign them in once the staff leaves the drop-off area. Breakfast closes at 7:25 for car riders. Dismissal starts at 2:45. Parents must be here in line by 2:50 to get their child's car tag number entered into the system. If your number is not in the system, you will have to get out of your car and come into the building to get your child after dismissal is complete. Early check-out ends at 2:30. The office staff stops helping with check-out to assist with dismissal. Thank you and have a great evening

Good evening Northeast Guardians, We hope that everyone stayed safe and is ready to start a new week. Here are this week's update's and reminders. The PBIS focus will be teachers choice. The choices are bus, playground, bathrooms, cafeteria, hallways, or classrooms. Ms. Brooks is seeing that bus referrals are increasing. Please talk with your child about following the bus rules. Thursday, February 27th, parents will be able to visit the classroom to see the second grade timeline projects. The time will be 3:15-4:15. Friday, February 28th, the fourth grade living history projects are due. Don't forget to view the bus calendar daily for cancellations. Also remember that dismissal starts at 2:45. All car tags should be on the mirror so that the staff can see it. If your car tag number is not taken or you do not have your car tag, you will have to get out of your car to come inside to get your child when the staff leaves the car rider line area.
