Here are next week's updates and reminders. The PBIS focus will cafeteria. Please ask your child to tell you the expectations of the cafeteria. The cafeteria rules are the first 10 minutes, the students can not talk. The students must only talk to their table. Friday, October 17th, is the last day of the grading period. 1st Grade Family Engagement - will be 12:00-1:00. First-grade parents, come join in the fun with the Pumpkin Book Character Walk Parade. Here are next week's updates and reminders. The PBIS focus will be hallways. Please speak with your child about the importance of walking down the halls without talking. Classrooms must be able to focus without interruptions. Tomorrow is the last day for our first fundraiser of the year. Thursday, October 9th, our Kindergarteners will have a dental screening. Friday, October 10th, local fire departments will come to the school to discuss fire prevention. Don't forget to check the bus calendar daily to ensure that your child's bus is operating. The bus calendar can be viewed on our Northeast webpage. The end of the grading period will be on October 17th. Please make sure that your child has all of their missing work in to be graded.

Good evening Northeast guardians: here are next week's reminders and updates. The PBIS focus will be the classroom. Don't forget that your child is counted tardy if they are not in their classroom by 7:30. If your child is dropped off after 7:30, you must park to come in and sign your child in. Tuesday, September 30th, is Mrs. Holland's first day as the new principal of Northeast, more information will be shared at a later time. The latest that a child can be checked out early is 2:30. After 2:30, the office staff helps to assist with dismissal. If you walk up to the building after 2:30, we will assist you after the car rider line is complete, the approximate time is 3:10. Here are next week’s updates and reminders. The PBIS focus will be on the bus. Remind your child that the bus is not the place to play. They must remain seated until they reach their destination. Just like school, they must keep their hands to themselves. All book bags must be on their laps. All items must be in their book bags. Items include water bottles and books. Don’t forget to check the bus calendar daily to see if your child’s bus is operating. Bus 521 is still only operating am. Bus 136 still does not have a driver. We will notify you when transportation has found a driver. There will be a bus driver's class on October 3rd. Please visit the Wayne County website if you know someone who would like to drive for Wayne County. Please be reminded that the latest that a child can be checked out is 2:30. The office staff assists with dismissal daily. If you do not have your car tag, you will have to wait until the car rider line is complete and the staff will be glad to assist you. Staff stops entering car tag numbers at 2:55. If your number is not taken, your child will be called up after the car rider line is complete. Thank you and have a great evening.

Good evening NEE guardians. Here are next week's updates and reminders. The PBIS focus will be all areas. Please speak with your child about keeping their hands to themselves. Tomorrow, September 15th at 6, the PTO will meet in the media center. Wednesday, September 17th is picture day. Tell your child to get ready to show their biggest smile. Thursday, September 18th, the Annual Title 1 meeting will be at 5:30, the Parent Advisory Committee meeting and Scout Round-up will be at 6:00. You will be assisted with location when you arrive at the school. Friday, September 19th, our first fundraiser of the year will begin. Don't forget to go to our Northeast website daily to check the bus calendar to see if your child's bus is operating. At anytime, you miss a update or reminder message from the school, you will be able to go to our Northeast website or our Facebook page to read the message in its entirety. Good evening guardians, Here are next week's updates and reminders. Our PBIS focus will be all areas of the school. Teachers are still going over routines and procedures with the students. First and second grade students will take their STAR math assessment this week. Tuesday, September 9th, third grade students will be taking the BOG. Please make sure that students get plenty of rest and are on time for school. Thursday, September 11th, will be 9/11 remembrance. Rosewood Elementary will host the Agua Fresca ESL Family Night, 6:30-7:30. Don't forget to go to our Northeast page to check the bus calendar daily to make sure that your child's bus is running. If you would like to be a volunteer or a field trip chaperone, don't forget that you must complete the WCPS volunteer application every year starting July 1st. Good evening Northeast guardians: here are next week's updates and reminders. Tomorrow, September 1st is Labor Day. School will be closed. Wednesday, September 3rd, our third through 5th grade students will be taking their Star Reading Assessment. Thursday, September 4th, third through 5th grade students will be taking their Star Math Assessment. Please make sure that your child gets plenty of rest and arrives to school on time. Students are tardy after 7:30. If your child is not out of the car by 7:27, you will have to park and sign them into school. Students dismiss this week at 2:35. Next week, school will dismiss at the regular time of 2:45. Please don't forget to visit the NEE website daily to check the bus calendar to see if your child's bus is operating. Welcome back and we are looking forward to seeing all of our students.
Here are next week's reminders and events: Tomorrow, Monday, August 25th, is the first day of school. Students will be able to enter the building at 7:05. Starting September 1st, students will be counted tardy at 7:30. If your child is not out of the car by 7:27, you must park and sign your child in. School will dismiss this week and next week at 2:35. Starting Monday, September 8th, school will dismiss at 2:45. Breakfast will be served from 7:05-7:27. From 7:20 to 7:27, they will get a breakfast on the go.
Bus 136 is not operating at this time. Bus 521 will operate AM only until further notice. As soon as buses 136 and 521 are operating at full capacity, Ms. Brooks will notify you using Talking Points. Please make sure that the school has your cellphone number in the system. Talking points is only able to use cellphone numbers. Once your child’s teacher contacts you on Talking Points, save the number using the teacher's name. That will be your way of communicating with your child’s teacher. You do not need to download the app. Bus 550 and 621 will be adjusting their route due to new students being added. Please make sure that your child is outside 15 minutes early. The drivers are not able to blow their horns.
Ms. Brooks will be sharing the bus calendar link with you using the Talking Points app. When she shares the link, please make sure to save the message under Ms Brooks/bus. Good evening Northeast Guardians, here are next week''s updates and reminders. The PBIS focus will be teacher's choice. Monday June 2nd, The Focus drawings will be 1:30-1:50 for K-2 students and 2:00-2:20 for 3rd-5th grade students. Tuesday, June 3rd with be Reading EOG readministration for recommended 3rd - 5th grade students. Third grade students awards ceremony will be 1:30-2:30. Wednesday, June 4th, EOG readministration for the recommended Math 3rd and 4th. Awards Ceremonies: K - 8:00-9:00, 1st - 9:30-10:30 and 4th-1:30-2:30. Thursday, June 5th, EOG: Readministration Math the recommended 5th grade students. Awards Ceremonies: 2nd - 8:00-9:00, Pre-K - 9:30-10:30 and 5th - 1:30-2:30. Friday, June 6th is the last day of school for students. The students will be released at 12:45. We wish everyone a great summer. Good evening Northeast Guardians: here are next week’s updates and reminders. The PBIS focus will be the playground. Tomorrow, May 26th, school will be closed for Memorial Day. Tuesday, May 27th, third through fifth grade students will be taking their Math EOG assessment. Thursday, May 29th, fifth grade students will be taking their Science EOG. Friday, May 30th will be hat day. Students and staff will be able to pay $1 to wear their hats in the building. Saturday, May 31st, the PTO will be doing a Fun Run fundraiser. It will be 9 to 2 at the school. Vendors and food trucks will be on-site. The PTO will be accepting vendor and food truck registrations until tomorrow, May 26th. Good evening Northeast Guardians, here are next week’s updates and reminders. The PBIS focus will be the bathroom. Tuesday, May 20th will be moving up night. The times will be 5:00-5:45 and 5:45-6:30. There will be STEM activities in the gym from 5:00-6:30. On Wednesday, May 21st, there will be an EOG encouragement parade. The line-up will begin at 1:15 and the parade will begin at 1:30. Friday, May 23, third through fifth-grade students will be taking their reading EOG. Good evening Northeast guardians: here are next week’s updates and reminders. The PBIS focus will be the cafeteria. Please remind your child that for the first ten minutes in the cafeteria, the students are supposed to eat without talking. Happy Mother’s Day to all of our Mothers. Friday, May 16th the students can pay $1 to wear a hat in the building. This is a fundraiser for the school’s PTO. The teachers were so happy with the cards, flowers, and many more treats from the students. The teachers would like to thank the parents and the community for all that you do to support the students and staff of Northeast. Some students started taking their end-of-year assessments last week please make sure that your child comes to school daily and is well rested so they will do their best on their assessments. Your child’s progress report went home last week if you have any questions, please contact the classroom teacher. Good evening Northeast guardians, here are next week's updates and reminders. The PBIS focus will be the hallway. May 5th-9th is teacher appreciation. Next week will be the start of the EOY Benchmark and Star Assessments. Please make sure that your child is at school and gets plenty of rest. Tuesday, May 6th is National Nurses Day. Nurse Anna is an amazing nurse who goes the extra mile for our students. Wednesday, May 7th, progress reports go home. Please make sure to review them and reach out to your child’s teacher if you have any questions. Friday, May 9th, will be Pre-K field day and PTO hat day. Students and staff can pay $1 to wear hats in the building. This is another reminder that bus 521 will run pm only at 1:15 to take students home from school. If you want your child to ride, please send a message to the classroom teacher. The message should be sent before 12. The bus that will take home bus 521 students will be bus 138. Bus 136 route was split up and those students will ride bus 136, with a new driver, or bus 621. Bus assignments went home on Friday. If your child did not get a bus assignment sheet or something was incorrect, please reach out to Ms. Brooks on Classdojo. Bus 488 will now be replaced by bus 136. All students that were assigned 488 will now ride bus 136. Thank you and have a great evening.

Good evening Northeast Guardians: here are next week's reminders and events. The PBIS focus this week will be the classroom. The YMCA after school program will no longer be operating on campus at NEE. The service will still be offered, but students will be picked up and bussed to the YMCA facility. If you have questions or concerns regarding this change, feel free to reach out to the YMCA. Tuesday, May 29th, the fifth grade students will be going on a field trip to the symphony in Raleigh. Wednesday, April 30th the students will be taking Spring Pictures. Thursday, May 1st, parents will have the opportunity to view the fifth grade Science projects. Parents are able to come out and view projects 10:30 till 11:30 in the classrooms. Friday, May 2nd, the first grade students will be going on a field trip to Dean's Farm in Wilson. The PTO is having a fundraiser. Students and staff can pay $1 and they will be able to wear a hat inside the building. Good evening Northeast guardians, Here are next week's updates and reminders. The PBIS focus will be teacher's choice. Monday, April 14th, the fifth grade students will have a Science Alliance Stay Trip. The stay trip will start at 8 and end at 12. Wednesday, April 16th, the Kindergarten students will go on a field trip to Simply Natural. They will leave campus at 8:30 and return at 2. Thursday, April 17th, will be field day and the last day of school before Spring Break. Please don't forget to check the bus calendar to make sure that your child's bus is operating. The cost of a yearbook is $25. Monday, April 7th, don't forget to come out to Pizza Inn tomorrow night to support our NEE PTO. The fourth-grade students will be going to Charles B. Aycock Birthplace. Coin Wars will begin tomorrow, April 7th and end Friday, April 11th. April is the month of the Military Child. Friday, April 11th is Purple Up Day.
