The cost of a yearbook is $25. Monday, April 7th, don't forget to come out to Pizza Inn tomorrow night to support our NEE PTO. The fourth-grade students will be going to Charles B. Aycock Birthplace. Coin Wars will begin tomorrow, April 7th and end Friday, April 11th. April is the month of the Military Child. Friday, April 11th is Purple Up Day. Good evening Northeast Guardians; Here are next week's updates and reminders. The PBIS focus next week will be the Cafeteria. Ask your child to tell you the procedures/routines for the cafeteria. Please have your child complete IXLmath and reading at home, when possible. It is a goal for students to do 45 minutes in reading and math a week on IXL. Friday, April 4th, our second-grade students will be going on a field trip to Clemmons Educational Forest. The students will leave at 8:30 am and will return to campus at 2:00 pm. Please mark your calendars for April 7th, our Northeast PTO will have a fundraiser at Pizza Inn. Stop by for dinner to support our wonderful PTO. Our coin wars begin on April 7th and end on April 11th. If you would like another way to support our PTO, send your child to school with coins to help fill up the coin jars. Don't forget to look at the bus calendar daily to ensure that your child's bus is operating. One last reminder, please send a note or a Classdojo message when your child is absent. Good evening Northeast Guardians: Here are next week's updates and reminders. The PBIS focus this week will be the hallway. Be sure to ask your child for a procedure for the hallway. Don't forget that tomorrow March 17th will be a makeup day for the closures due to the weather. Tomorrow and Tuesday students will complete their monthly Star Assessment. Monday will be reading and Tuesday will be math. Thursday, March 20th some students will be participating in the Battle of the Books. Let's cheer them on and let's hope they enjoy the experience. Also, on Thursday, don't forget that our PTO will be doing a fundraiser at Chuck-E-Cheese. The event starts at 3:00 and will last until closing. The students will come home with a sticker that will give them tokens. They will also have a flyer that will be coupons. Friday, March 21st, our fourth-grade students will be going to the Outer Banks. The students will leave campus at 7:30am and return at 7:30pm. Also on Friday, your child's report card will go home. If you have any questions about the report card, please contact your child's teacher. The last reminder is don't forget to update your Classdojo so that you will be able to continue to get the bus calendar. The updated version is 11.81.0. You may have to delete the app and reinstall it. Next week we will be having Spirit Week. March Madness Spirit week will consist of: Monday- wear green/dress like a leprechaun....Tuesday- teacher/student swap....Wednesday-mismatch day...Thursday-hat and/or crazy sock day....Friday- wear your favorite college team attire. Good evening Northeast Guardians; Here are next week's updates and reminders. The PBIS focus this week will be classroom. Please be reminded that after your child receives 3 classroom PBIS write-ups, their fourth will be an office referral. Wednesday, March 12th the district will be making up some lost time from the storm. March 12th will be a full day of school. March 15th is the last day of the grading period. Please make sure that your child has completed all missed work. The school form of communication is Classdojo. Please make sure that you have the latest version of Classdojo. The latest version is 11.81.0. Classdojo is used to connect to our bus calendar. The bus calendar should be checked daily to ensure that your child's bus is running. The daily schedule is: breakfast doors close at 7:25 for car riders. If your child is not out of the car and in the building by 7:30, they are considered tardy and must be signed in by an adult. Early checkout ends at 2:30 so that the office staff can assist with dismissal. If you do not have you car tag and in the car rider line by 2:50, you will have to wait until the car rider line is complete to come into the building to get your child. Once the staff leaves the car rider line in the morning and in the afternoon, you will have to come in the building. Good evening Northeast Guardians; Here are next week's updates and reminders. The PBIS focus will be bus. The bus referrals last month were high. Please talk with your child about following the bus rules. Friday, March 7th, the EC students will leave for their field trip at 9:30 and return to campus around 2:00. The Fifth-grade students will be participating in the Luck of the Fraction. Group 1 -7:45-10:15 and Group 2 -12:15-2:45. Reminders: Students are tardy at 7:30. An adult must walk the student in and sign them in once the staff leaves the drop-off area. Breakfast closes at 7:25 for car riders. Dismissal starts at 2:45. Parents must be here in line by 2:50 to get their child's car tag number entered into the system. If your number is not in the system, you will have to get out of your car and come into the building to get your child after dismissal is complete. Early check-out ends at 2:30. The office staff stops helping with check-out to assist with dismissal. Thank you and have a great evening

The choices are bus, playground, bathrooms, cafeteria, hallways, or classrooms. Ms. Brooks is seeing that bus referrals are increasing. Please talk with your child about following the bus rules. Thursday, February 27th, parents will be able to visit the classroom to see the second grade timeline projects. The time will be 3:15-4:15. Friday, February 28th, the fourth grade living history projects are due. Don't forget to view the bus calendar daily for cancellations. Also remember that dismissal starts at 2:45. All car tags should be on the mirror so that the staff can see it. If your car tag number is not taken or you do not have your car tag, you will have to get out of your car to come inside to get your child when the staff leaves the car rider line area. Good evening Northeast Guardians: here are next week’s reminders and updates. The PBIS focus will be the cafeteria. Ask your child what happens during the first ten minutes of lunch. Tuesday, February 4th, 5th grade students will take their Science NC check-ins. Wednesday, February 5th, 3rd-5th grade students will take their Math NC check-ins. Please make sure that your child is at school on time and gets plenty of rest. As a reminder, no outside food can be brought into the school for lunch. Students are only allowed to eat food from their lunch boxes or the cafeteria. During class time, students can only drink water. They are not allowed to drink any other beverage. However, during lunch, the students can drink anything except soda and energy drinks. Please speak with you child about what they can have to eat and drink at school. Don't forget to check the bus calendar daily. There are buses that are already listed for being out this month. Ms Brooks will only place messages on Classdojo when the driver can't drive and we weren't given notice. If you are dropping off or picking up your child from school, please don't forget to use the race track. Drop off starts at 7:10 and they are tardy at 7:30 and must be signed in by an adult. In the afternoon, the coaches stop taking numbers at 2:50 to enter them into our system. If you are not at school before 2:50, your child will have to be called to the front. Please make sure to talk with your child about the importance of following the hallway rules. The students need to ensure that they transition in the hallways without talking. Our students who are in the classrooms need to focus on what their teacher is trying to teach them. Wednesday, January 29th the mClass testing window closes. Our 3rd-5th grade students will be completing their NC Check-ins for reading. Thursday, January 30th the fifth-grade students will be showing their 50 states dioramas. Parents will be able to view the dioramas from 10:30-11:30. Friday, January 31st will be the last day to complete the Star Reading and Star Math assessments. Please make sure that your child is present every day this week to ensure that your child has completed all of their assessments. Don't forget to review the bus calendar daily to ensure that your child’s bus will be operating. We only use ClassDojo to notify of a last-minute cancelation. Ask them to tell you about the expectations that were discussed Thursday during their specials block. Wednesday, January 15th is an early dismissal day. The students will be dismissed at 12:45. Our K-2 grade students will also have a hearing screening from the speech pathologists in the district. Friday, January 17th, the EC students will build snowmen with their parents from 1-2. This past Friday report cards went home. Please review the report card with your child and schedule a meeting with your child’s teacher if you have any concerns. Thursday, January 9th, there will be a school-wide assembly to review the school expectations. Friday, January 10th, report cards will go home. Good evening Northeast guardians, here are next week’s reminders and updates. The PBIS focus will be the playground. Don’t forget to purchase a smencil for $2. All proceeds go toward the spring field trip for fourth grade. We will be finishing out our 12 days of holiday fun: Monday Glow Day, Tuesday Elf Day, Wednesday Ruldoph Day, Thursday Grinch Day, and Friday Pajama Day. Tomorrow, December 16th, PTO will be at HWY 55 on Wayne Memorial Drive from 5 pm to 10 pm. 10% of all proceeds will go to The NEE PTO. Keep those leftovers from tonight and eat them on Tuesday night and come join us for burgers and much more. Friday, December 20th is an early dismissal. School will dismiss at 12:45. We will continue to do 12 days of Holiday Cheer next week. Monday: Camo Day, Tuesday: dress like a Christmas tree, Wednesday: wear red white and green, Thursday: dress like a snowman and Friday: ugly sweater. Our fourth-grade students are selling smencils and bookmarks to reduce the price for their spring field trip. The cost for the smencils or bookmarks is $2. Friday, December 13th, the Kindergarteners will be building Gingerbread Houses, 12:30-1:30. Please remember to view the bus calendar daily. If a cancellation occurs last minute, Ms. Brooks will add a message to Classdojo and schedule a phone message. This is just a reminder to make transportation changes on Classdojo before noon.
