8th grade is reading “The Monkey’s Paw” and their groups are creating plot diagrams complete with illustrations. Students will then compare and contrast these elements of the original written story with the video interpretation.

Stone Age Survival Challenge!

Our 6th graders stepped back in time and put their survival skills to the test! They worked together, solved challenges, and explored what life was like during the Stone Age. Learning history through teamwork, creativity, and a little prehistoric fun!

Last Friday, Ms. Jasmine Ward, a freshman ECU Music Education Major and CBA alumnus, visited the 6th and 8th grade brass classes. She interviewed the students on what they've learned in band, what music they like, and why they chose band.
She assisted the 6th graders with finding their first pitches as well as taught the 8th graders a CBA pep tune for Future Falcon Night! She ended with playing her tuba which really got the class hoping!
