Reminder to 8th grade parents: This Friday, March 27, the 8th grade formal committee will be in person for ticket sales from 8:15-8:45am. This Friday and April 17th will be the last chances to purchase tickets in person. Please see the attached fliers for details on the formal. WE HAVE BIG NEWS!
This past Saturday was a monumental day for our music program! Two of our current Cobras, Abram and Sammy, and one of our Cobra alumni, Jovany, traveled to Winston-Salem to audition for All-State Band.

To even qualify for this level, these students had to earn top chairs at the District level. After a grueling 12-hour day of driving, auditioning, and a celebratory Zaxby’s stop, the results are finally in...

Congratulations to Abram Edwards! Abram placed 6th in the state on Trumpet and has become the first student from Wayne County in 15 years to make the All-State Band!

We are beyond proud of all three of these young men. Thank you for your grit, your talent, and for beautifully representing Wayne County, Norwayne Middle, and Charles B. Aycock High School at the highest level!

SPORTS FANS: This is a reminder for all the softball and baseball spectators - we have our first home game tomorrow. Please enter the school through the car line. Gate admission will be in the car line. Park in grass between the 2 ball fields. The concession stand for softball and baseball will be held in the football concession stand. Pick up time for students is no later than 5:45. Thank you so much!

Huge shoutout to the ECU Music Department!

Even though the "Snowpocalypse" took away District Band this year, ECU stepped up in a big way. They invited all the students to their concert on Monday night and gave them the recognition they deserved. The boys and Mrs. Jarrett had an absolute blast!

Thank you for turning a disappointment into such a memorable night!

Our middle graders are busy sharpening their leadership skills and competing at this year’s FFA Rally. It’s a great day to be in the FFA!

You and your 7th and 8th grade students are invited to WCC's Annual Middle School Night on March 26th from 6-8 pm. Each year students and their families are invited to come explore campus and our academic programs through hands-on activities with our faculty.
