This is an important weather announcement from Wayne County Public Schools: Due to the threat of heavy rains, isolated flooding, and tropical storm winds being forecast for our area, Wayne County Public Schools will be CLOSED Thursday, August 8 through Friday, August 9. All schools, departments, and campuses will be closed for students and staff. All athletic practices, competitions, and school sponsored activities have been canceled.
