Apex Toilet Paper Challenge, Wednesday, February 28th 8-8:30. Ms. Carter and Ms. Brooks will be wrapped around the flag pole like mummies. Second grade Timeline Gallery Walk, Thursday, February 29th, 3:15 to 5:15. Thursday, February 29th, join Dr. Whichard to discuss the budget for the district at the Maxwell Center, 6:00-7:00. Good evening Northeast parents, Here are next week's upcoming events and reminders: This is a reminder that progress reports went home on Friday, February 9, please review your child's progress report and call the teacher if there are any questions. Wednesday, February 14th is early dismissal. The students will be dismissed at 12:45. Bus 550 will only operate morning tomorrow, February 12th. Bus 136 will not operate until further notice. This week is bus drivers week, if you get an opportunity, please thank your bus driver for getting your child to and from school safely. Our third, fourth and fifth grade students did an excellent job for ELA Check-ins. They were the top 3 for the district. Our fourth grade students were also one of the top 3 for math. Tomorrow, February 5th, bus 550 will only operate am. This is also a reminder that bus 136 is not running until further notice. Please don't forget the volunteer meeting on February 7th at 3:15. In order to chaperone a field trip, the volunteer orientation must be completed once per school year. This volunteer orientation will be the last one for the 23-24 school year. Please speak with your child about following directions and the rules at school. The behaviors are increasing so we need your help. Friday, February 9th, progress reports will go home. Please review the report with your child and contact their teacher if you have any questions.

Good evening Northeast parents, Here are next weeks upcoming events and reminders: If you have not attended a volunteer meeting and would like to chaperone a field trip, please join Ms. Brooks on February 7th at 3:15 in the Media Center. This will be the last volunteer meeting for the school year. Upcoming field trips at Northeast: Kindergarten has a trip planned for February 15th. Fifth grade has a trip planned for April 11th and second grade has a trip planned for the 18th. There are several other grade levels that are in the planning process. January 29th-31st, bus 496 will not operate pm. Bus 550 will only operate am. Our Book Smarts and Art Family Night will be on March 4th, please see the post on Class Dojo or Facebook to RSVP to this event by Thursday, February 1st. Thank you and have a great evening

Good evening Northeast parents, Here are the upcoming events and reminders for next week at Northeast Elementary: Parents, we are having a problem with students being in hallways where their class is not on. We are asking you to support us with speaking with your child or children about going straight to their class or breakfast every morning. Students also should not be waiting for their friends to go to breakfast or to finish eating breakfast. We are halfway through the school year and every child should be able to walk to class without a sibling walking with them. We have staff or safety patrol positioned at the beginning of each hall and teachers are positioned at the classroom door. NC-Check-ins start on Tuesday. Please make sure that your child gets plenty of rest and is at school on time. Check-ins will be Tuesday through Thursday. Wednesday, January 24th is an early dismissal day. The students will be dismissed at 12:45. Bus 136 will be operating am only on Wednesday, January 24th. Thursday, January 25th, bus 550 will not be operating. Thank you and have a great week.

Good evening Northeast parents, Here are the upcoming events and reminders for next week at Northeast Elementary: Please continue to talk with your child about doing their best at school and the SOAR expectations. We can see that it is making a difference. Tomorrow, January 15th, is a holiday. The school will be closed. Thursday, January 18th, bus 550 will not operate. This is also a reminder that the office closes at 2:40 pm so that the office staff can assist with dismissal. The office does not open back up until the traffic has been cleared for car riders. If your child needs to be checked out earlier, it must be done before 2:30 pm. Please know that all walk-up check-outs will have to wait until the office opens back up to have your child called. Good evening NEE parents, here are the upcoming week's reminders and events: Report cards went home on Friday, January 5th. Please make sure you review your child's progress and discuss it with them. Reach out to the teacher with any questions and request a conference if you would like to know more about how to support your child's educational progress from home. Tuesday, January 9th, will start our middle of the year assessments. Please make sure your child gets plenty of rest and arrive to school on time. Wednesday, January 10th and Friday, January 12th, bus 136 will only operate am. Thursday, January 11th, there will be a PTA meeting held in the media center from 6:00-7:00. Thank you

All missed work should be completed and turned in. Wednesday, December 20th is an early dismissal day and the last day before the holiday break. The students will be dismissed at 12:45. Reminder: Wednesday, November 29, will be an early release day for most Traditional Calendar schools, Carver Heights Elementary, & Goldsboro High. WEMCHS, WSTA, & WSE will dismiss at their regular time. All other schools will dismiss 2-hours early. Please contact your child’s school if you need more information.
