Tomorrow is the students first day back from the Thanksgiving Break. We hope that everyone had a safe break and are ready to return to school. Tuesday, November 28th, bus 521 will operate am only. Wednesday, November 29th is an early release day. The students will be dismissed at 12:45. Thursday, November 30th, NEE Choral Showcase will be held at Goldsboro High School at 6:30pm. November 30th, Bus 136 will operate am only.

Monday, November 20th, bus 136 will only operate am. Students will be released on Tuesday, November 21st at 2:45 and will be out for their Thanksgiving Break until Monday, November 27th. On Tuesday, November 7th, the fifth-grade students will have reading check-ins. Please make sure that your child is here and on time. On November 8th, the fifth-grade students will be attending the NC Symphony at Mt. Olive College. They will leave campus at 9. On November 9th, the fourth-grade students will be going on a field trip to Paramount Threate and Herman Park. They will leave campus at 8:30. Friday, November 10th is a holiday. Volunteer Orientation will be held in the media center at 3:30, tomorrow October 30th. November 1st, 3rd-5th grade students will start their check-ins. Please make sure that your child is present every day. November 2nd, the first-grade students will be going to Dean's Farm in Wilson. The bus will leave campus at 8:30. November 2nd, 5:00 pm-8:00 pm Student Led Conferences/Family Dinner/Bingo. November 3rd: Campus Beautification Day - Grade levels will help with clean-up during their assigned specials time (led by special area teachers) - families are invited to participate if they have received the email confirming they can volunteer and has attended volunteer orientation. Tuesday: Wear your favorite team shirt or Jersey. Wednesday: Wear animal print or something with an animal on it. Thursday: Wear neon colors and/or your favorite pair of shades. Friday: Show good character and dress like your favorite book character. Wednesday, October 25th is an early dismissal day for Wayne County Public Schools. Northeast will dismiss at 12:45. On Friday, October 27th, 3rd-grade students will have a character parade that starts at 9:00 a.m. Bus 136 will operate morning only on Tuesday, October 24th. Bus 138 will not operate on Tuesday, October 24th or Wednesday, October 25th. Please make sure to view the bus calendar for all updates on buses. Good evening NEE parents, Every Sunday at 6:00 we will be updating you of what will be happening for the upcoming week. This week: First grade parents, please look out for field trip information for Dean’s Farm. There will be a PTA meeting from 6:00-7:00 in the media center on Thursday, October 12th. Fire Prevention Week starts today. The local fire department will be out on Friday, October 13th to talk with the students about fire safety and show the students their fire trucks. Bus 138 will not be operating tomorrow, October 9th or Tuesday, October 10th. Bus 136 will not be operating Tuesday, October 10th afternoon. Bus 136 and 496 will operate pm only on Friday, October 13th.

Good evening NEE parents, We have a few reminders for the upcoming week at NEE. Bus 103 will be running am and pm starting tomorrow, October 2nd. Please allow the driver a little more time in the morning and the afternoon to arrive to your child's stop. She needs time to get use to the bus route. Don't forge that tomorrow, October 2nd, we will be having our Volunteer Orientation for the school. The orientation will start at 3:30. Please remember that you will have to do the volunteer orientation if you would like to volunteer in the school or to chaperone on a field trip. The last reminder is for our Kindergarten parents. Our Kindergarten students will be going on their field trip to the Wayne County Fair on Thursday, October 5th. Thank you and enjoy your evening
