WCPS Arts Education is pleased to announce the winners of the 2025 UNC Health Wayne Holiday Card Contest. This year’s theme, "Season of Giving," invited students to reflect on kindness, community service, and the spirit of helping others through their artwork.
In recognition of their achievement, each winning student will have their work featured in UNC Health Wayne holiday cards and promotions. Additionally, UNC Health Wayne is awarding a $1,000 donation to the art program at each winner's school.

The Golden Falcon Men's and Women's Varsity Basketball teams will be participating in the Rosewood High School Christmas Basketball Tournament on Monday, December 22nd and Tuesday, December 23rd at Rosewood High School. Please see the attached flyer for game times and opponents.
Our Life Skills students and Unified Sports Club are trying to raise $1500 for Special Olympics North Carolina. This will be CBA's third year participating in the Polar Plunge. Wednesday, December 10th, is our last regular school day of the Fall Semester. Thursday and Friday, students will take their Final exams for non-state tested subjects. This will change the bell schedule during the school day to allow for more time to take exams.

Weather Announcement - Due to the threat of below freezing temperatures and standing water causing icy conditions on secondary roadways in the morning, Wayne County Public Schools will have a 2-Hour Delay, Tuesday, December 9. This means that all non-essential personnel will report to work two (2) hours beyond their normal starting time and the student day will begin at individual schools two (2) hours later than normal. Please continue to monitor local media, the district Facebook page @WayneCountyPS, or the district website for further weather announcements.
Weather Announcement - Due to the threat of inclement weather forecast to arrive late tomorrow afternoon and early evening, all schools will dismiss 2-hours early, Monday, December 8. Additionally, all after school programs, school sponsored activities, and athletic practices and events have been canceled. Student and staff safety is our top priority. These actions will help ensure our campuses have been cleared and all school buses are safely off the road before any potential icy conditions occur. Several CBA DECA members participated in preparing tonight for the Kriquette’s Kidz event that will be held this Sunday.

The Girls Basketball Program wanted to thank all the students, faculty, and staff that came out yesterday to support our boys and girls programs in their games against Eastern Wayne High School.

The CBA Golden Falcon Basketball teams will take on Smithfield Selma Senior High School on Friday, Dec. 5 at Smithfield Selma. There will be no JV Women's Game.
JV Men's game will begin at 4:30pm. Followed by Varsity Women at 6:00pm and Varsity Men at 7:00pm
