Tomorrow, Feb. 18, CBA will be represented by two athletes at the 5A Indoor Track State Championship. William "Seth" Cowan and Alonna Frederick will both compete in the shot put event. Seth is currently ranked 3rd in the state with a throw of 54 feet and Alonna is ranked 2nd in the state with a throw of 38 feet 7 inches. Both of these marks are new school records! Congratulations and the best of luck to you both tomorrow.

A huge thank you for all those that came out last Friday night and cheered on your Golden Falcons' Basketball teams. The Girls defeated Southern Wayne 42 to 30. Alonna Frederick led all scorers with 15 points and Lauren Burton added 10 points and had 5 steals. Taleia Claude led the team with 8 steals. The Girls visit Rocky Mount tomorrow night for a chance at a Conference Championship.

The Youth Council for Kriquette's Kidz is collecting hygiene items to donate to families in need in our community. Please consider donating items such as toothpaste, toothbrushes, deodorant, soap, and tissues for this worthy cause. Donations can be brought to Mrs. Grimes' room 212.

Thank you to all that came out last night in support of our seniors. The Girls Basketball team defeated Fike 57 to 19. Simone Hall had a double double with 15 points and 10 rebounds. Camiya Frederick had 15 points and led the team with 5 steals. We play Friday night at Southern Wayne. See you then - Go Falcon!!

Tonight CBA will host Fike HS in our final home basketball game. It will also be our Senior Night for both our Men's And Women's Varsity teams as well as recognizing our outstanding Senior Falcon Swimmers!!

The home basketball game vs So. Nash has been rescheduled for Thursday, January 29 beginning at 3:30pm with the JV Girls. Come on out and support our Golden Falcon Basketball teams!!

The home basketball games scheduled for Tuesday, Jan. 27 have been canceled due to So. Nash HS being closed due to winter weather.
A make up date will be announced as soon as possible.

The Girls Basketball Program would like to thank all of you who travelled last Friday to Fike High School in support of your teams. The girls defeated Fike 44-32 and Alonna Frederick recorded a double double with 10 rebounds and 20 points. The team hosts Southern Wayne Tuesday night, Jan. 20 and we hope to see you all there. Go Falcons!!

Herff Jones will be on campus for senior supply orders and cap and gown orders on Thursday, January 15 during all lunches.

Also, if you have not paid your senior fee, the fee amount is now $90.00. Please see your homeroom teacher or Mrs. Limbaugh in the front office to pay this and any other fees you may have. Prom is March 28 and tickets will be on sale soon. All debts must be paid before you are allowed to attend prom.

WCPS Arts Education is pleased to announce the winners of the 2025 UNC Health Wayne Holiday Card Contest. This year’s theme, "Season of Giving," invited students to reflect on kindness, community service, and the spirit of helping others through their artwork.

In recognition of their achievement, each winning student will have their work featured in UNC Health Wayne holiday cards and promotions. Additionally, UNC Health Wayne is awarding a $1,000 donation to the art program at each winner's school.

The Golden Falcon Men's and Women's Varsity Basketball teams will be participating in the Rosewood High School Christmas Basketball Tournament on Monday, December 22nd and Tuesday, December 23rd at Rosewood High School. Please see the attached flyer for game times and opponents.
