The CBA Golden Falcon Men's Tennis team had a busy week of games and wins!!
The Men's Tennis team defeated Rocky Mt. 9-0 at home on Wednesday afternoon. That win took their record to 3-0(conf. and overall)
On Thursday, the CBA Men's Tennis team defeated a scrappy S. Nash 9-0 at the Luke Vail Tennis Courts. The Golden Falcons improve to 4-0(conf. and overall) and host non-conf. opponent, Goldsboro, next Tues.

At the Future Falcon Night held on Monday, March 2, rising 9th graders were entered into a drawing for some CBA Swag!

Please congratulate our Golden Falcon Softball team on their win over North Lenoir on Tuesday evening. The Golden Falcons outscored the Hawks 12-0. Recording runs for the Golden Falcons were Nikayla Weaver (3), Ryleigh Tortual and Kaitlyn Lancaster (2), and Brooklyn Davis, Avery Fricks, Caroline Howell, Paisley Mooring and Haylee Ezzell (1)

The Golden Falcons are currently 2-0(conf. and overall) and host another conf. foe, Rocky Mt., on Wednesday, March 4. with a 3:30 start time. Please come out and support our tennis team for their season home debut.
Congratulations to our Women's Varsity Basketball team for advancing to the 3rd round of the state playoffs. They will be traveling to South East Alamance on Saturday, Feb. 28 after beating South Brunswick on Thursday by a score of 61-53!!

Congratulations to Zymir Best for becoming the Regional 5A 138 pound division Champion! He competed against 15 other wrestlers from the Eastern Region.
Tomorrow, Feb. 18, CBA will be represented by two athletes at the 5A Indoor Track State Championship. William "Seth" Cowan and Alonna Frederick will both compete in the shot put event. Seth is currently ranked 3rd in the state with a throw of 54 feet and Alonna is ranked 2nd in the state with a throw of 38 feet 7 inches. Both of these marks are new school records! Congratulations and the best of luck to you both tomorrow.
A huge thank you for all those that came out last Friday night and cheered on your Golden Falcons' Basketball teams. The Girls defeated Southern Wayne 42 to 30. Alonna Frederick led all scorers with 15 points and Lauren Burton added 10 points and had 5 steals. Taleia Claude led the team with 8 steals. The Girls visit Rocky Mount tomorrow night for a chance at a Conference Championship.
The Youth Council for Kriquette's Kidz is collecting hygiene items to donate to families in need in our community. Please consider donating items such as toothpaste, toothbrushes, deodorant, soap, and tissues for this worthy cause. Donations can be brought to Mrs. Grimes' room 212.
Thank you to all that came out last night in support of our seniors. The Girls Basketball team defeated Fike 57 to 19. Simone Hall had a double double with 15 points and 10 rebounds. Camiya Frederick had 15 points and led the team with 5 steals. We play Friday night at Southern Wayne. See you then - Go Falcon!!
Tonight CBA will host Fike HS in our final home basketball game. It will also be our Senior Night for both our Men's And Women's Varsity teams as well as recognizing our outstanding Senior Falcon Swimmers!!

Alonna Frederick led all scorers with 22 points followed by Camiya Frederick and Kanysia Smith. The Girls host Northern Nash tonight. We hope to see you all there. Go Falcons!!!
