Good evening NEE parents, Here are next week's events and reminders: Tomorrow, October 30th, Bus 138 (former 541) will only operate am. Volunteer Orientation will be held in the media center at 3:30, tomorrow October 30th. November 1st, 3rd-5th grade students will start their check-ins. Please make sure that your child is present every day. November 2nd, the first-grade students will be going to Dean's Farm in Wilson. The bus will leave campus at 8:30. November 2nd, 5:00 pm-8:00 pm Student Led Conferences/Family Dinner/Bingo. November 3rd: Campus Beautification Day - Grade levels will help with clean-up during their assigned specials time (led by special area teachers) - families are invited to participate if they have received the email confirming they can volunteer and has attended volunteer orientation. Good evening NEE parents, here are next week's events and reminders: Next week is breast cancer awareness and red ribbon spirit week at Northeast. Monday: Students and staff are wearing pink or red. Tuesday: Wear your favorite team shirt or Jersey. Wednesday: Wear animal print or something with an animal on it. Thursday: Wear neon colors and/or your favorite pair of shades. Friday: Show good character and dress like your favorite book character. Wednesday, October 25th is an early dismissal day for Wayne County Public Schools. Northeast will dismiss at 12:45. On Friday, October 27th, 3rd-grade students will have a character parade that starts at 9:00 a.m. Bus 136 will operate morning only on Tuesday, October 24th. Bus 138 will not operate on Tuesday, October 24th or Wednesday, October 25th. Please make sure to view the bus calendar for all updates on buses. Good evening NEE parents, Every Sunday at 6:00 we will be updating you of what will be happening for the upcoming week. This week: First grade parents, please look out for field trip information for Dean’s Farm. There will be a PTA meeting from 6:00-7:00 in the media center on Thursday, October 12th. Fire Prevention Week starts today. The local fire department will be out on Friday, October 13th to talk with the students about fire safety and show the students their fire trucks. Bus 138 will not be operating tomorrow, October 9th or Tuesday, October 10th. Bus 136 will not be operating Tuesday, October 10th afternoon. Bus 136 and 496 will operate pm only on Friday, October 13th.

Good evening NEE parents, We have a few reminders for the upcoming week at NEE. Bus 103 will be running am and pm starting tomorrow, October 2nd. Please allow the driver a little more time in the morning and the afternoon to arrive to your child's stop. She needs time to get use to the bus route. Don't forge that tomorrow, October 2nd, we will be having our Volunteer Orientation for the school. The orientation will start at 3:30. Please remember that you will have to do the volunteer orientation if you would like to volunteer in the school or to chaperone on a field trip. The last reminder is for our Kindergarten parents. Our Kindergarten students will be going on their field trip to the Wayne County Fair on Thursday, October 5th. Thank you and enjoy your evening

WCPS closed out its School Bus Driver Appreciation Luncheon by announcing its new 30 step salary scale for school bus drivers beginning July 1. The new starting salary is $16.17 per hour with drivers receiving annual pay increases. The district also presented a $500 appreciation bonus to bus drivers for their efforts to pick up extra routes and responsibilities this year due to driver vacancies. Thank you again for all that you do!!
