Good evening NEE parents, Here are the upcoming events and reminders for NEE: Tuesday, December 19th bus 550 will not be operating. The end of the grading period is Wednesday, December 20th. All missed work should be completed and turned in. Wednesday, December 20th is an early dismissal day and the last day before the holiday break. The students will be dismissed at 12:45. The students will return from the break on Thursday, January 4th. Please don't forget to check the bus calendar daily for updates. Reminder: Wednesday, November 29, will be an early release day for most Traditional Calendar schools, Carver Heights Elementary, & Goldsboro High. WEMCHS, WSTA, & WSE will dismiss at their regular time. All other schools will dismiss 2-hours early. Please contact your child’s school if you need more information.

Volunteer Orientation will be held in the media center at 3:30, tomorrow October 30th. November 1st, 3rd-5th grade students will start their check-ins. Please make sure that your child is present every day. November 2nd, the first-grade students will be going to Dean's Farm in Wilson. The bus will leave campus at 8:30. November 2nd, 5:00 pm-8:00 pm Student Led Conferences/Family Dinner/Bingo. November 3rd: Campus Beautification Day - Grade levels will help with clean-up during their assigned specials time (led by special area teachers) - families are invited to participate if they have received the email confirming they can volunteer and has attended volunteer orientation. Tuesday: Wear your favorite team shirt or Jersey. Wednesday: Wear animal print or something with an animal on it. Thursday: Wear neon colors and/or your favorite pair of shades. Friday: Show good character and dress like your favorite book character. Wednesday, October 25th is an early dismissal day for Wayne County Public Schools. Northeast will dismiss at 12:45. On Friday, October 27th, 3rd-grade students will have a character parade that starts at 9:00 a.m. Bus 136 will operate morning only on Tuesday, October 24th. Good evening NEE parents, Every Sunday at 6:00 we will be updating you of what will be happening for the upcoming week. This week: First grade parents, please look out for field trip information for Dean’s Farm. There will be a PTA meeting from 6:00-7:00 in the media center on Thursday, October 12th. Fire Prevention Week starts today. The local fire department will be out on Friday, October 13th to talk with the students about fire safety and show the students their fire trucks. Bus 138 will not be operating tomorrow, October 9th or Tuesday, October 10th. Bus 136 will not be operating Tuesday, October 10th afternoon. Bus 136 and 496 will operate pm only on Friday, October 13th.
