I am making sure all students are aware that we will run our CBA Flex Schedule tomorrow, Monday, October 28, 2024. This schedule change is to allow ALL students to attend homeroom at 10:50am tomorrow to be able to complete a career plan survey through Major Clarity. The completion of this task is a District Requirement for all our students. Information collected will allow us to better prepare individual student career plans. Please see the start times for each period listed below:

The Charles B. Aycock High School Lady Golden Falcons Tennis Team (23-2) will play at Rocky Mount Senior High School (13-1) in the third round of the NCHSAA 3-A dual tennis team state playoffs on Monday, October 28th at 3:30 p.m.


CBA will be administrating the ASVAB test on Monday, Dec 3, 2024. The Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB) is a standardized test that helps determine a person's eligibility and suitability for military service and careers:

Here is the link to purchase tickets for the varsity football game at home tonight at 7pm. It is Senior night and we will be recognizing the senior football players at 6:30pm before the game. We will also recognize the band and cheerleaders at halftime. Tickets can also be purchased with a debit/credit card or $10 cash at the gate.

Interest meeting for girls basketball to be held during homeroom. Anyone interested in participating should go to room 419 on either Thursday, Friday, or Monday in preparation of tryouts which will begin on the following Wednesday, October 29th after school.

More exciting news to share!!
Marinah Bryan (Jr.) at CBA. Started playing golf her freshman year. She finished All-Conference in the Quad County Conference Championships last week. She competed yesterday at the Chicora Golf Club and finished in the top 20 at the 3A East Regionals. With that finish she qualified to move on and compete in the 3A State Golf Championship to be held at the Longleaf Golf Club in Southern Pines, NC next Monday & Tuesday, Oct. 28-29th.

The CBA Falcon Tennis Team will travel to West Carteret on Wednesday, Oct. 23 for the 2nd round of the NC Dual Team competition. Please be sure to wish these athletes good luck !

Attention soccer fans!! Our men's soccer team will play Hunt HS at home on Thursday at 6:30pm. This is a make up game from a previously cancelled game. Be sure to come out and support our Falcon Soccer Team!

CBA's Varsity Volleyball team will be traveling to Western Alamance on Tuesday, Oct. 22 for the 1st round of the State Volleyball Playoffs. We wish our entire team safe travels and good luck in the first round! Go FALCONS!!!


The Charles B. Aycock High School Lady Golden Falcons (21-2) will host Triton High School (5-7) in the opening round of the NCHSAA 3-A dual team state playoffs on Monday, October 21st at 3:30 p.m. at the Luke Vail Tennis Courts.

Charles B. Aycock High School freshman Kannyn Fail and junior Madison Smith won three matches this weekend at the annual Eastern 3-A Regional Women's Tennis Tournament at North Carolina Wesleyan University in Rocky Mount to improve to 10-4 on the season. Fail and Smith were seeded fourth in doubles. They will represent the Lady Golden Falcons at the annual NCHSAA State Championships next Friday and Saturday at the Burlington Tennis Center.

Our CBA Women’s Golf team competed in the Quad County Conference Championship this week. Marinah Bryan was named all-conference and has qualified for the 3A Regional tournament next week! Way to go Falcons!! 💛🩵

Lizzie Fredericks - Role Play Section Winner, 6th place overall in Quick Serve Restaurant Management
Abigayle Abrams - Role Play Section Winner in Principles of Entrepreneurship
Emanuel Bocaneara Zaratula - 9th place overall in Principles of Entrepreneurship
We are very proud of these students and their accomplishments and we are excited to compete at state competition in February!

WCC will have an open house on Tuesday, Oct. 22 from 6:00-8:00pm for all seniors and their parents/guardians who are interested in attending Wayne Community College in the fall.
