Wayne County Public Schools will no longer excuse absences due to bus related issues. Beginning with the 2025-26 school year, these absences will be coded as unexcused. If your child is waiting for a bus assignment, please continue to check the student email for notifications. All transportation requests are processed within 48 hours but some routes are currently at capacity. As space becomes available, your child will be notified with a bus assignment.

Are you interested in making a difference at CBA? Run for an office in AYC. What is AYC? Aycock Youth Council is our school student government. AYC officers represent their grade levels to help plan and make decisions about events at Aycock. Each grade level has an elected president, vice president, secretary, and treasurer. Are you interested in running for an office or learning more about AYC. Applications can be picked up in Ms. Frederick’s room (#113) or Ms. Simpson’s room (# 604). * A schedule change form with a parent signature is required.
* Requests will be denied if the requested course is at capacity.
* Changes will not be made to accommodate a teacher or period preference. A change could also impact other classes on your schedule.
