Epsilon Phi Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, alongside WCPS, and the Dillard/Goldsboro Alumni and Friends and I.Rise.Above LLC will be sponsoring a workshop on Saturday, October 26 from 1-4pm at the Neal Stitt building. Please see the flyer for all the details. This event is in conjunction with the National College Application Week which takes place October 21-26. We want to encourage students not to wait until the last minute to start thinking about and applying for college, thinking about careers or going into military service after graduation.

Steps for Seniors to order Cap and Gown and other items from Herff Jones: 1. Go to the website https://www.herffjones.com 2.At the top left corner click on "Graduation" and then "Shop your school" 3. The next screen will ask for your high school . You will need to type in "C.B. Aycock" and click on our school. 4. Click on "Shop graduation product" 5. Click on "Grad gear and apparel" 6. Scroll passed "Apparel", scroll passed "Senior Jewelry" and scroll passed "Accessories " 7.AND FINALLY you will see the option for a cap and gown under "Graduation Essentials"

There will be a swim team interest meeting on Wednesday, October 9th in Coach Joyner's room 701 during homeroom. You do not have to have competitive swimming experience to join the team. Stop by Room 701 if you have any questions.

The next drivers education class will be held at Goldsboro High School in the school cafeteria from 8 am to 2 pm. Classes are October 19, 26, November 2, 9, and 16. The classes are by sign up only on the Wayne County Public Schools website. A student must be 14 1/2 on the first day of class. When the class is closed an email will be sent out to the student to inform them they successfully got in the class.

Aycock High School for Saturday 8.17.2024: Hello Golden Falcons Family: As we inch closer to the start of our 2024-25 School Year, we want to share some important information and dates to save for your calendar. With Principal Tod Morgan moving to the coast to serve at Topsail High School, we will have a new Captain at the helm of the Flagship! We welcome back home our new CBA Principal - Mr. Nelson Cunningham! Mr. Cunningham will serve as the 11th Principal in the 63 year history of CBA! Our Floating Open House will be held at CBA on Wednesday 8.21.24 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM, with an assembly in the New Gym at 6:00 PM. Our 1st Day of School will be on Monday, 8.26.24 with school starting promptly at 8:00 AM and dismissal at 3:00 PM. For the first 2 weeks of school our students will report to Homeroom first thing in the morning from 8:00 to 8:45 AM before heading to 1st period. There will be no school for students or staff on Monday, 9.2.24 as we honor our Labor Day Holiday. We look forward to a great start to our 2024-25 school year and to seeing you around The Flagship! An Important Message from CBA for Sunday, 8.4.2024: Hello Golden Falcons Family! I hope my message finds you and your families doing well and enjoying your summer! Our Charles B. Aycock High School Administrative Team, School Improvement Team, Leadership Team, School Counselors, Front Office Staff, and Custodial Staff have been working hard this summer to plan and prepare for our 2024-25 school year. We are excited to host our Fall Sports Parents Meeting at 6:00 PM on Tuesday, August 6th in our New Gym. We look forward to seeing all of our Fall Sports Parents, Student-Athletes, and Coaches for this required NCHSAA Parent Meeting. We are also very excited to welcome back our CBA Faculty & Staff on Thursday, August 15th, and our Golden Falcons students for our 1st Day of school on Monday, August 26th! Lastly, we look forward to seeing everyone for our Floating Open House event for all of our 9th through 12th grade students from 5:00 to 7:00 PM on Wednesday, August 21st!
